This will be either: • 33 RPM • 45 RPM • 78 RPM Move the RPM switch to the appropriate speed setting. Placing the Record Always handle records by the edge and/or label. Remove the record from the outer jacket and dust sleeve. Line up the record’s center hole over the spindle and place the record on to the turntable. For some 45 RPM records a 45 adaptor ring is needed. Remove the 45 adaptor from the holder on the record player and place it over the spindle. Line up the record’s center hole over the 45 adaptor and place the record on to the turntable. Starting the Record Make sure you have released the tone arm catch. Place a finger underneath the tone arm strut and raise the tone arm. Carefully swing the tone arm over the record until the stylus is over the ‘lead in grove’ on the outer edge of the record (see page 12). Lower it gently into place. You will hear the audio after a few seconds, once the stylus has passed from the ‘lead in grove’ into the record’s audio ‘grove’. Using the Auto Off If the auto off feature is turned on this will stop the turntable from spinning once the end of the record has been reached. If this is left off the turntable will keep spinning regardless of the position on the tone arm. To do this you will need to slide the styles down and away from the cartridge on the tone arm. Please Note: Clean the needle from time to time with a carbon fibre style brush starting from the back and moving forward. This will remove debris and dust that can gather on the stylus lowering the sound quality.
