Thank you for choosing Xcellon. The Xcellon USB-EC3 adds a Gigabit Ethernet port and three USB 3.0 Standard-A ports to your USB-C™-supported Mac or PC. It extends your computer’s connectivity so you have secure and reliable Internet access via a wired connection while you use your USB peripherals. It’s ideal for connecting a device such as a keyboard, mouse, flash drive, camera, smartphone, or tablet. This adapter is bus powered so no external power source is needed. Just plug it into an available USB-C port on your computer and go to work. It supports USB 3.0 data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps, and the adapter delivers Ethernet speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbps. The hub also is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 and supports most USB devices.

Installing the Driver Important: If your computer does not have a CD drive, drivers can be downloaded from www.xcellongear.com/downloads. 1 Insert the included CD into your computer’s CD drive. The AutoPlay window may open. 2 Click on “Open Folders” to view the files on the CD and click on the Windows, Mac, or Linux folder depending on your operating system. ·· Windows: Open the folder of your Windows operating system and double-click on the .exe file “setup”. Follow the instructions in the setup wizard. Note: For Windows XP, open the folder labeled AllInOne_5009_12232015. ·· Mac OS: Double-click on the .pkg file. Follow the instructions in the setup wizard. ·· Linux: The makefile is located in the Linux folder. Run make_install from the driver directory.

Using the Adapter 1 Plug the USB-C connector into an available USB port on your computer. The blue LED indicator will light up when the adapter is receiving power. 2 Plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port of the adapter. 3 Plug your compatible USB devices into the USB ports on the adapter.

I can’t connect to the Internet or my USB devices, or the Power LED is not on.

Make sure the adapter is plugged into a powered USB port on your computer. Make sure you have correctly installed the software drivers from the included CD. Download the latest driver from xcellongear.com/downloads.

One-Year Limited Warranty This XCELLON product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function. This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Xcellon Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Xcellon along with the RMA number and proof of purchase.
