Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Be sure the Power Base is turned off before putting on or taking off the Adapter. Check the Adapter for presence of foreign objects before use. Avoid contacting moving parts. Always use after the Adapter has been secured in place. Do not operate appliance after it has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Keep hands, hair and clothing well away from moving parts. Flashing light indicates ready to operate. Avoid any contact with blades or moveable parts Adapter is for household use only. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS OTHER ITEMS NEEDED Thank you for your purchase of the Kitchen Center Adapter. This adapter allows you to use new Kitchen Center attachments on old Nutone Food Center units. Before you try it out, take a few moments to read this Owners Manual and familiarize yourself with the function of the Kitchen Center Adapter. GLASS BLENDER KC-GBL STAINLESS BLENDER KC-SSBL HOW TO USE *KCADP-A is for the Glass Blender. *KCADP-B is for the Stainless Blender. Both are similar in operation and use. NOTE FOR BOTH BLENDERS If the bottom of blade assembly in jar is plastic (fig 1b), the shim inside the adapter is not needed and should be removed before use. If the bottom of blade assembly in jar is metal (fig 1a), the shim needs to be in place at the bottom of the adapter as shown. BOTTOM OF BLADE ASSEMBLY fig 1a METAL fig 1b PLASTIC Shim is not needed Set the blade assembly in the bottom of the adapter, make sure rubber gasket seal is in place on top of blade assembly, so fluid doesnt spill. Rubber Gasket Ring sits on top of the ring of blade assembly After shim and gasket ring are in place in the Adapter, set Blender on Adapter and screw clockwise until tight, then place on Food Center as shown below.
