Remove the battery compartment cover from bottom of the unit Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the compartment, taking note of the polarities marked on the inside of the compartment Replace the battery compartment over Note : Batteries for clock settings backup only STAND-BY MODE 1. 2. When the power adaptor is connected, press the STANDBY button (9) briefly to switch ON or to switch MODE’s. Press and hold ( for 2 seconds) to enter STANDBY mode SETTING THE TIME Note: The clock can only be set in STANDBY mode. Any loss of power without backup batteries installed will result in erased settings (the stand by screen is dimmed slightly) 1. 2. 3. Press the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button (3) once. The clock display will then flash Press the TUNE-/ BACK button (4) repeatedly until the HOUR digit is correct. Repeat for the MINUTE digits then using the TUNE+/ FORWARD button (8) Once the digits are set to the current time, leave all buttons for a few seconds to store the setting. The digits will stop flashing when completed. Changing to 24hour time Note 1: In order to set 12 or 24 hour time mode, you need to be in either DOCK or AUX mode. The radio mode will not allow this setting 4 SPK-IPT200 USER MANUAL Note 2: You will not be able to detect that this feature is working if you are in AM time (not PM) as 11am is 11:00 hours in 24 hour time. If you are in PM time you will see the icon for PM disappear as 24 hour time is engaged. 1. 2. 3. 4. Check you are in either the DOCK or AUX mode. If not press the MODE/STANDBY button until you are. Then press and HOLD the SNOOZE/SLEEP button (6) until the change has taken effect. Press and hold the same button again to toggle between each mode. Then press and hold the STANDBY button to enter STANDBY mode and save the settings. USING THE ALARM FUNCTION Note 1: The SPK-IPT200 has a dual alarm function Note 2: The alarm can only be set in STANDBY model Note 3: The device will exit the alarm set function if not buttons are pressed within 5-10 seconds. Setting alarm 1 1. 2. 3. 4. From the standby screen, press the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button (3) twice. The ALARM 1 icon will appear and the clock display will start flashing Press the TUNE-/BACK button (4) repeatedly until the Hour digit is correct. Repeat for the Minute digits but use the TUNE+/Forward button (8) Once the time has been set, press VOL-/ALARM1 button (5) repeatedly to cycle through the alarm options BUZZER, iPOD or RADIO (indicated in the top left of the display) Once the time & wake up mode has been set you can either leave all buttons for a few seconds to store the setting or press the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button (3) to continue set Alarm 2 Setting alarm 2 The settings for alarm two is very similar to the settings for alarm 1 5. 6. Instead of pressing the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button twice however, press it 3 times to enter settings for alarm 2. This is indicated when the alarm clock 2 icon appears Change the time/s as normal but use the VOL+/ALARM2 button to select the wake up mode Note 1: The alarm will increase in volume and activate for 1 hour or until the user cancels the alarm Note 2: By selecting no wake up mode in one or both alarm settings (ie. iPod, Radio etc) no alarms will sound. Snooze or cancel an alarm Note: The alarm will sound at the same time the next day unless the alarm setting is disabled 1. 2. To cancel the alarm (when sounding) press the MODE/STANDBY button (9). (The alarm will then sound again 24 hours later) To activate the SNOOZE function press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button (6) when the alarm sounds. The alarm will sound again 8 minutes later (or until it is cancelled) 5 SPK-IPT200 3. 4. 5. 6. USER MANUAL To disable Alarm 1, press the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button (3) twice once the alarm has been cancelled or snoozed. Then press the VOL-/ALARM1 button (5) repeatedly until the alarm option is blank (meaning no alarm will sound). Press the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button to store the setting. You will notice the ALARM1 icon has gone from the display Repeat steps 3 to 5 to disable Alarm2, but remember to press the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button (3) three times. Then press the VOL+/ALRM2 button (7) repeatedly until the alarm option is blank. Press the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button to store the setting Note 1: If you set the alarm mode to IPOD but there is no iPOD present in the dock when the alarm sounds, the BUZZER will be used by default Note 2: When using iPod alarm mode, please ensure the last used mode is audio and not video Note 3: There is no alarm function for the AUX input mode SLEEP FUNCTION The sleep function allows you to set a period of time before the unit will enter the STANDBY mode 1. 2. 3. During the playback of any the sources eg. iPad, Radio, & AUX input, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button (6) repeatedly to cycle through the sleep interval options. These range from 90 minutes down to 10 minutes in 10 minute increments When the timer expires the unit enters STANDBY mode To intervene and cancel the SLEEP function at any time, press SNOOZE button until 00 is seen on the display. Or press and hold the STANDBY button to enter standby mode ADJUSTING THE VOLUME To increase the volume level press the VOL+/ALARM2 button (7), to decrease the volume level press the VOL-/ALARM 1 button (5) LISTEN TO THE RADIO Note: For best FM reception extend the antenna wires located on the rear of the unit. It is important not to alter or attach other antennas to this antenna wire 1. 2. 3. 4. Press the MODE/STANDBY button to switch the unit ON if in STANDBY mode Press the MODE/STANDBY button repeatedly until you reach the RADIO function icon. You will also see the radio frequency in large digits To tune in a station press an hold the TUNE-/BACK button (4) to scan down the frequency range or TUNE+/FORWARD button (8) to scan up the frequency range. Keep you finger on the button, until the next radio station is found. The scan will then stop. Repeat as needed. To set a frequency manually press the TUNE-/BACK button to skip down the frequency range in 0.1MHz increments, Pressing the TUNE+/FORWARD button skips up in 0.1MHz increments SETTING RADIO STATION FAVOURITES / PRESETS You can store up to 10 preset stations for quick access 1. Press and hold the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button (while in RADIO mode), you will see 1 MEM (the number digit will flash) 6 SPK-IPT200 2. 3. USER MANUAL Press the TUNE+/FORWARDER or TUNE-/BACK buttons to cycle through the preset locations from 0 to 10 When you have selected the required preset location, press the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button to store the station in that location Note: Repeat steps 1-3 for all stations you wish to store RECALLING RADIO STATION FAVOURITES / PRESETS 1. 2. To recall a station on a preset location, press the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button. You will see CH 1 on the display to indicate preset location 1 Use the TUNE+/FORWARD or TUNE-/BACK buttons to cycle through 0-10. When the location is selected pause for a second for the station to tune CONNECTING AND USING YOUR IPOD /IPHONE 1. 2. 3. Press the MODE/STANDBY button to switch the unit ON if in STANDBY mode Press the MODE/STANDBY button repeatedly until you reach the DOCK function icon, insert the iPod into the dock, taking case when mounting on the 30 pin connector Pressing the MEM/TIME/PLAY/PAUSE button enters PAUSE mode, another press resumes playback Note: You can bypass the above steps and simply dock an iPod in ANY mode. The unit will wake and begin to play the iPod. The iPod will begin to play automatically. 4. Adjust the volume using VOL+/ALARM 2 & VOL-/ALARM 1 buttons on the unit Note: the iPod’s volume controls will have no effect on the output level 5. 6. 7. To skip to the next track press the TUNE+/FORWARD button (8). To skip to the beginning of the current track press the TUNE-/BACK button (4). Two presses skips to the previous track. Every subsequent press of the TUNE-/BACK button skips to previous track To fast forward or rewind the current track press and hold the TUNE+/FORWARD or TUNE/BACK. Release the button to resume playback Note 1: This units does not control the iPod menu so all navigation and track selection must be completed on the docked iPod Note 2: When docked a compatible iPod will be charged during STANDBY and POWER ON modes 7 SPK-IPT200 USER MANUAL AUX OPERATION Auxiliary audio equipment can be connected via the supplied 3.5mm audio cable 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Press MODE/STANDBY button repeatedly until ON if in STANDBY mode Press the MODE/STANDBY button repeatedly until you reach the AUX function icon Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio to the AUX input socket (12) on the rear of the unit Connect the other end of the audio output to your device Press PLAY on your audio equipment to begin playback NOTE: it is recommended to try various volume levels on the external audio device until you reach an acceptable balance. Too much volume and audio will be distorted, too little and the audio will be too weak TROUBLE SHOOTING / Q & A Q1. The MODE/STANDBY button does not work A1: Press the button briefly to switch ON or switch MODE's. Press and hold ( 2 seconds) to enter STANDBY mode) Q2: When I dock my iPod /iPhone I do not hear any music A1: Check that the unit has been docked correctly. Re-dock the iPod / iPhone taking care to seat the 30 pin connector correctly A2: The Dock mode has not been selected. Press MODE/STANDBY button (9) repeatedly until DOCK appears on the display A3: Remove the iPod/ iPhone case to make better connection Q3: My AUX device does not work when connected A1: Ensure the 3.5mm cable is connected correctly. Check the cable connections and re-connect A2: The AUX mode is not selected. Press MODE/STANDBY button (9) repeatedly until AUX appears on the display A3: Check the external equipment connected is playing audio before it is docked using headphones for example. The benefit of this warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and to other rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation to the goods or services to which the warranty relates. Through a network of retailers and resellers, Laser will provide you with your choice of a refund, repair or exchange (where possible) for this product if it becomes defective within the warranty period.
