Operation Instructions Function Operation Instructions Power ON Warning and Caution Statements: Preview menu  Insert the SD CARD into main unit properly.  Connect the cable to main unit and screw tightly.  Press the POWER button of the main unit and wait for the start-up screen in a few seconds. Screen with preview menu Symbol descriptions Video mode Video recording time display Camera mode Battery status Figures/ Photos/Images Magnification Date/Time display Magnification In preview menu, use DOWN button to control the magnification of preview from 1 to 4 times. The magnification factor is shown on the preview tab of Figure. Video Record In preview menu, confirm the icon on the top-right corner corresponding to video mode . If not, then press REC button to enter this mode. In video mode, press REC button to record and the color of REC icon is changed to red and the recorded time displays at the top-left corner. To stop recording, press the REC button again. The icon appears for saving data and then vanishes by showing the icon as the previous status in video mode. The error symbol will appear if SD CARD is full during recording. The Lock symbol will appear if SD CARD is locked. Please turn off the main unit and switch the SD CARD to unlock position. Snapshot Confirm the icon on top-right is ready for camera mode , and then press the PHOTO button to take a photo. Pressing the PHOTO button, the icon on the top-right is changed to red the icon while appears for saving data and then vanishes subsequently by showing the icon and recovers into the camera mode. Date and Time: In camera mode, press ESC key to display or hide all comments as well as the Date and Time display on preview tab. A photo saved has the same image as shown on screen. Function Menu Memory free space This system supports SD CARD and USB Flash storage device. In preview menu, press OK button to enter FUNCTION MENU shown in Figure. Use UP or DOWN buttons to select the FUNCTION and confirm with the OK button. The background color of selected symbol will be changed to yellow . Press OK button to enter the Memory mode. The type of storage device and memory free space is shown in the first block. This symbol represents that the system is displaying memory status of USB Flash storage device. The symbol shown in the second block stands for Format of USB Flash storage device. This symbol represents that the system is displaying memory status of SD CARD. The symbol in this block stands for Format of SD CARD. The system can read both SD CARD and USB Flash storage device at the same time but only displays the storage device latterly connected as shown in the first block. To format selected storage device in the second block, press OK button to start formatting. The duration of formatting depends on the memory size. The symbol stays on screen during formatting and the symbol as formatting completed. appears The symbol in the third block stands for Return by pressing OK button back to FUNCTION MENU. Date/Time Setting In preview menu, press OK button to enter FUNCTION MENU shown in Figure. Use UP or DOWN buttons to select the FUNCTION and confirm with the OK button. The background color of selected symbol will be changed to yellow . Press OK button to enter the Date/Time setting mode. In the first block, Date can be set with UP or DOWN buttons. The background color of selected number will be changed to yellow. Press PHOTO button for decrement while REC button for increment. In the second block, Time can be set with UP or DOWN buttons. The background color of selected number will be changed to yellow. Press PHOTO button for decrement while REC button for increment. Auto Power Off Auto Power Off can be set for 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5 minutes (enable) and 0 (disable) in the third block. Selecting the symbol will change the symbol color to red . And press OK button will return to FUNCTION MENU. Video Output AV Out First connect the Phone plug of AV cable to the Video Output port of Main Unit and RCA connector to the external display unit, respectively. In preview menu, press OK button to enter FUNCTION MENU shown in Figure. Use UP or DOWN buttons to select the FUNCTION of AV out. Then the background color of selected symbol is changed to yellow . Press OK button to enter the Video Output mode. According to the required video format of external Display Unit, use the UP or DOWN button to select NTSC or PAL, press OK button and the AV from Main Unit will be transferred and displayed on external Display Unit. Selecting the symbol will cancel Video Output and return to Main Unit. File Open/Delete In preview menu, press OK button to enter FUNCTION MENU shown in Figure. Use UP or DOWN buttons to select the FUNCTION. The background color of selected symbol will be changed to yellow . Press OK button to enter the File Open mode. Use UP or DOWN buttons to select folders and furthermore files of a folder. The folder name is given according to the Date (e.g. 20100930) displayed on Main Unit while the file name is recorded as Date and Time (e.g. 20150603153843). Attribute of Symbols: for folder for Video in AVI format for Photo in jpg format Quick View Use UP button to select folders and files to review. Photo Inspection Photo Selection Selecting Photo: Press UP button to select the previous photo while Down to next photo. Photo Enlargement Select photo and press Camera button to magnify from 1 to 10 times. The symbol with magnification factor is shown on the display unit. Photo Rotation Select photo and press OK button to rotate the photo by 90∘clockwise each time. Photo Deletion During reading Photo, press REC button to Delete the Photo with Confirmation. Select the symbol , press OK button to delete Select the symbol , press OK button to cancel Video Play Video Selection Playing Video: Press DOWN button to select next section while UP to previous section. Video Play/Pause Selecting Video: Press OK button to Play or Pause Playing: this symbol appears on the bottom-left corner. Pause: this symbol appears on the bottom-left corner. Time Tab at bottom of preview menu, Elapsed Time displays on the bottom-left corner. Total Time displays on the bottom-right corner. In Time Tab, the orange bar represents for the elapsed time while white bar for the rest time to play. Video Fast Forward Selecting Video: Long-Press DOWN button to play Fast Forwards. The symbol appears at the bottom-left corner. Video Review Selecting Video: Long-Press UP button to play backwards The symbol appears at the bottom-left corner. Video Deletion Playing Video: Press REC button to Delete the Video or Cancel this selection by using UP or DOWN buttons with Confirmation during Video playing. Select the symbol , press OK button to delete Select the symbol LED Intensity Adjustment to cancel. Use LED Intensity Adjustment of Main Unit to regulate the Brightness of the LED. Clockwise Rotation will increase the light intensity. Counterclockwise Rotation will decrease the light intensity. System Reset Please use non-conductive small rod to press Pinhole Reset button for System Reset. Audio REC/Play Audio Recording only works during Video Recording. Please insert the Earphone into the port properly. Starting Video Recording will execute Audio Recording synchronously. Audio Playing only works during Video Playing. Please insert the Earphone into the port properly. Starting Video Playing will execute Audio Playing synchronously. HDMI Output Connect the HDMI Cable to the HDMI slot of Main Unit and the external Display Unit. Video will be transferred and displayed on external Display Unit. Disconnecting the HDMI Cable from Main Unit will cancel Video Output and return to Main Unit for display. PC Connection Use USB Cable for connections between Main Unit and PC. After connecting, the dialog box appears with icons shown in Figure. Select the upper block for Data Mode, Data in SD CARD can be used. The USB Connection LOGO displays on screen. Select the lower block for Power Mode, Battery of Main Unit can be charged by using USB Cable. System Setup In preview menu, press OK button to enter FUNCTION MENU shown in Figure. Use UP or DOWN buttons to select the FUNCTION. The background color of selected symbol will be changed to yellow . Press OK button to enter the System Setup. Select the symbol shown in the first field and Press OK button to restore to the factory settings. Select the symbol shown in the second field and Press OK button to return to the FUNCTION MENU. Power Off Press the POWER button of the main unit for 3 seconds to turn off the system.
