Be sure to read this manual before using the machine C200 x-10 1 Specifying network settings Specifying network settings 1 Specifying network settings 1.1 Displaying the Network Settings screen 1 Network settings are specified from the Administrator Management screen in Utility mode. 1 Press the [Utility/Counter] key. 2 Touch [Admin.]. 3 Type in the password, and then touch [OK]. – C200 For details on specifying and changing the password, refer to the User’s Guide [Copy Operations]. 1-2 Specifying network settings 4 1 Touch [↓], and then touch [Network Settings]. The Network Settings screen appears. 2 Reminder If items marked with are changed, the machine must be turned off, then on again. When turning the machine off, then on again, wait about 10 seconds to turn the machine on after turning it off. The machine may not operate correctly if it is turned on immediately after being turned off. With a comparison of domain names during SMTP reception (IP address fax and IP relay operations), reception from any number of people can be prevented. An IP address fax is received only when the setting for "Self-Domain Name" on the recipient’s machine matches that specified for "Self-Domain Name" on the sender’s machine. An IP relay is received (relayed) only when the setting for "Self-Domain Name" on the recipient’s machine (relay station) matches that specified for "Domain Name" ("IP Relay Destination Registration" in the IP Relay Settings screen) on the sender’s machine. If either the recipient’s machine or sender’s machine is not yet registered, it is considered a match. SMTP Authentication User Name Specify the SMTP authentication user name used with SMTP authentication. SMTP Authentication Password Specify the SMTP authentication password used with SMTP authentication. Exception Setting Specify the range of unauthenticated IP addresses that are permitted as exceptions during SMTP authentication. If settings have been specified for the SMTP authentication user name and SMTP authentication password on the machine receiving the IP address fax or on the relay station for an IP relay operation, the SMTP authentication user name and SMTP authentication password must be specified on the machine sending the fax. The sender settings for an IP address fax can be specified when registering a one-touch dial destination or when directly entering the number to be dialed. For details on specifying the settings when registering a one-touch dial destination with Assistant tool for C200, refer to "Registering, editing and deleting one-touch dial buttons" on page 3-15. Custom Text: Text that can be freely specified is inserted. Register the text with Assistant tool for C200. OFF: No text is inserted. Subject Registration Select the subject that is used when sending Scan to E-mail and Internet fax transmissions. Since a maximum of four subject texts can be registered, the text that is used can be selected according to the contents of the transmission. Division Settings Select whether or not e-mail messages are divided before being sent. This feature may not be available depending on the e-mail application used by the recipient. Binary Division: To divide e-mail messages before sending them, touch "ON". Binary Division Size: Specify the size into which e-mail messages are divided when "Binary Division" is set to "On". Gateway TX To allow this machine to be used as a relay station for IP relay operations, select "Allow". To prohibit these uses, select "Restrict". Search Base Specify the starting point for LDAP searches. Auth. Type Select the LDAP authentication method. Login Name Type in the logon name for the LDAP server. If "Anonymous" was selected as the authentication method, no setting is necessary. Password Type in the logon password for the LDAP server. If "Anonymous" was selected as the authentication method, no setting is necessary. Domain Name Type in the domain name. Specify if "GSS-SPNEGO" was selected as the authentication method. Maximum Search Type in the maximum number of items that can be received as LDAP search results. Timeout Type in the length of time until the LDAP search times out. Paper Tray Shows the paper tray specified for a print command received with the paper tray not specified. Paper Size Shows the paper size specified for a print command received with the paper size not specified. 2-Sided Print Shows whether or not double-sided printing is performed. Bind Position Shows the binding position for double-sided printing. No Matching Paper in Tray Setting Shows the operation that is performed when there is no matching paper in the specified paper tray. Tray Priority: Paper will be supplied from a different paper tray. Tray Fixed: A warning message appears and printing stops. Default Settings - PCL Setting The default settings for PCL printing functions are displayed.
