1 DESCRIPTION The STE-21 LDA is an Ethernet I / O interface for remotely controlling other devices via Ethernet interface. The STE-21 makes possible the connection to the Ethernet network from devices that do not have an Ethernet connection. The integration of control libraries for equipment from different manufacturers and interfaces is possible as well with the STE-21.
2 TECHNICAL FEATURES The STE-21 features bidirectional RS-232 interfaces, two ports for connecting IR emitters, 10 configurable GPIO ports, 8 ports for connecting analog measurement sensors and one RS-485 port. It also has a mini USB port for configuration and power supply. The STE-21 can be powered from any USB device due to low consumption or through its own external power supply.

5 CONFIGURATION The device configuration is done either by Telnet or through the USB port.
5.1 TELNET a) Connnect the STE-21 to the same network as the PC. b) With a Telnet client application access the unit. Note: By default the STE has the IP: 192.168.0.3 Example: From the Windows command line, enter: telnet 192.168.0.3 c) Introduce the user and password Note: By default the user is ADMIN and the password is 1532

d) Configure the STE following the instructions of the Main Menu.

5.2 USB a) Connect the STE-21 to the USB port of the PC. b) Load the STE-21 USB driver (“LDAVirtualCOM.inf”) from the Windows device manager. Note: You can download this file from the LDA Audio Tech's intranet. c) Check that the driver has been correctly installed and note the Serial port name that Windows has assigned. Example: COM3 d) Use a Serial Communication utility to set up the device. Note: We recommend the free utility Hercules. e) Go to the Serial tab, and in the Name box, select the port name and click Open.
