You can model your song on another artist’s work or start from scratch. You can identify genres or types of music and consider; the shape or organization of music, e.g ABA (chorus, bridge or verse), pace/speed/timing/tempo, melody, harmony, beat, bass and lyrics. All of these musical ideas can combine to create something new that didn’t exist before. A powerful message to a chosen audience can be expressed through music or combined with video or images. Music loops (pre-made) can be arranged and added to your work. Singing, voice narrative, as well as input from live instruments (like keyboards or guitar) can be recorded into Garageband on an iPad.
