Downloading and editing the content Viewing pictures and video: Downloading pictures and video: Using the provided USB cable, insert the smaller end into the camera at the USB connection port and insert the larger end into the USB port of your computer. From the Start button go to ‘My Computer’ and browse to the folder containing your pictures: These two files are .JPG picture files and when you click on them you will be able to view them in your PC’s photo viewer. To edit them you will need to open them in your photo editing software. These three files are .mov files (QuickTime Movie). Clicking on them will open up Windows Media Player and you’ll be able to view them. N.B. There may be no audio until you open the video files in Windows (Live) Movie Maker and resave them in wmv. format. On a Mac the videos (with audio) will play automatically in Quick Time player. You will then be able to edit them with your video editing software. Editing pictures and video: For Windows, go to the guide on using Windows Live Movie Maker or for more advanced editing features you might want to use Windows Movie Maker full version. If you are on a Mac you can use iMovie for basic editing or depending on which campus you are on you will be able to access either Final Cut or Adobe Premiere CS6. For more details ask IT support.
