UZ557000 HITACHI 55” UHD LED LCD SMART TV SOFTWARE UPDATE GUIDE Please be aware that this update only applies to Hitachi UZ557000 55” UHD LED LCD Smart TV with FreeviewPlus. Note: • Applying this firmware update to your TV will return all settings to their Factory Defaults. This includes Channel Lists, Display Settings, Passwords, Scheduled/Timer Recordings and Reminders, etc. HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE UPDATE REQUIREMENTS • USB 2.0 Hi-Speed memory stick. (Min size: 1GB, Max Size: 4GB) • Computer capable of formatting USB drives to FAT32. ie; Windows XP or higher. WHERE TO DOWNLOAD • Go to http://www.hitachiconsumer.com.au/product-listings/55-series-7000-ultra-highdefinition-led-smart-tv and click on SUPPORT tab. WHAT TO DOWNLOAD 1. Download and print this software installation guide (size: ~78KB) 2. Download software update (size: ~89MB) HOW TO INSTALL 1. Download the software update file by clicking on the link above and save it to your computer. 2. Connect the USB stick to your computer and format the USB Stick to FAT32. Procedure may vary depending on your Operating System. 3. Unzip the downloaded file and copy the MstarUpgrade.bin file to the root folder of the USB disk. 4. Connect the USB stick to your TV. 5. Using the TV remote control, navigate to SMART HUB > Channel > Software Update (USB) and click OK. After few seconds, TV will restart and software update process will begin. It will take about 2-3 minutes to complete. Once completed, TV will go into standby mode. 6. Press POWER button to restart the TV and follow on-screen instructions to set up the TV.
