INSTALLATION OF THECOMPONENTS OF THE ALARM SYSTEM. Vehicle alarm system 'C60' is designed for all types of vehicles (except cabriolets) with petrol or diesel engines, 12V negative earth batteries. Vehicle alarm system must be installed inside the vehicle passenger compartment, in difficult access area as recommended by the wiring instruction supplied by the manufacturer. Manufacturer of the alarm system is recommending the following: a) selecting a qualified installer of vehicle alarm systems; b) mounting system unit in place free from penetration of moisture and other corrosion - causing materials, as far away as possible from heating elements in the passenger compartment and sources of electromagnetic interference (vehicle computer, conditioner, block of relays); c) avoid mounting system unit directly onto metal parts of vehicle to prevent accumulation of condensate in the system unit; d) mounting system unit in a way wire connectors are going from the bottom side of the unit; e) avoid placing wires adjacent to moving or hot parts of vehicle; f) install additional cut - off by using Control Channel 1 (CC1) only in the starter control circuit; g) avoid overloading circuits of the alarm system: P cut - off circuit 1 …………………………………….... < 25 A P unlock impulse current …………................................ < 15 A P lock impulse current .....……………........................... < 15 A P cut - off circuit /CC1 ……………………………..... < 0,13 A P CC2 circuit ………………………………………...... < 0,13 A P siren activation circuit …………………………..…... < 2 A P right direction indicator control circuit …................ < 7 A P left direction indicator control circuit …..…........... < 7 A 14

3. SETTING FUNCTIONS OF THE ALARM SYSTEM. Depending on the program version, 'C60' can incorporate up to 101 system settings. Due to these settings 'C60' can be adjusted to some particular vehicle or to country related traditions, or existing requirements for vehicle alarm systems. 'C60' functions are set using PIN (personal identification number), FN (function number) and SN (setting number) codes. Actions to be performed in the following sequence: a) Open vehicle doors and leave it opened; b) Enter PIN code (see User Manual 6.2.), close the doors; c) Wait for approximately 12 seconds (intended for remote control pre-programing), till system LED stops flashing in triple bursts of light and starts flashing rapidly; d) Within 8 minutes following the PIN code entry enter the FN number (by analogy with the PIN code) of the function you want to change. Short flash of direction indicators indicates correct FN entry. No flashing of direction indicators means either incorrect FN or dedicated 8 minutes have elapsed (it is possible to set FN by alternative way of entering PIN code - by presses of secret button in C60_B ver. only); e) If FN code has not been entered due to elapsed time, press remote control button , enter the PIN code once more, wait for 12 seconds and enter FN again; f) If FN code has not been entered due an error, turn the ignition OFF, wait until system LED starts flashing rapidly and repeat the FN code. If FN is entered by secret button, repeat the FN code by presses of a secret button (C60_B ver. only). After correct entry of the FN code the system extends control time for 8 minutes awaiting a code from remote control button . Within this control time check current SN settings or enter a new one. The system again extends control time to 8 minutes; g) Check SN setting (after correct FN entry). With the ignition OFF and the secret button is not pressed (C60_B ver. only), press remote control button and count short flashes of direction indicators, number of flashes indicates SN; h) If function setting is not met, turn the ignition ON or hold a secret button (C60_B ver. only). Press button with 1 second intervals as many times as the desired number of SN. Wait for 3 seconds until short siren chirp and flash of direction indicators appear. New setting has been entered into memory. Therefore turn the ignition OFF or release a secret button (C60_B ver. only) and check SN setting as described in article "3g".

5. NOTIFICATION ABOUT OPEN SYSTEM INPUTS, DATA ABOUT LAST TRIGGERS. If any system input (door, luggage compartment or engine bonnet) is open when arming and FN=33 preset time exceeds, system generates three short siren beeps. System will be armed, but open input stays disarmed till it is closed. System will notify about closing the input by short siren beep and direction indicators on. If system was triggered in armed state, direction indicators will flash four times when disarming the system. 'C60' stores the data about last three triggers. This function enables to ascertain the causes of the false alarm. There are two ways to do that: 1. System LED indicates the cause of the last trigger. After disarming turn the ignition on and count the LED flashes. 2. Direction indicators indicate the causes of the last three triggers. Set FN=71, 72 or 73, press button and count flashes of direction indicators while ignition is OFF. Meaning of system LED / direction indicators flashes: - 1 flash indicates triggering of a sensor; - 2 flashes indicate door opening; - 3 flashes indicate engine bonnet opening; - 4 flashes indicate luggage compartment opening; - 5 flashes indicate turning the ignition ON; - 6 flashes indicate that car battery has been diconnected while system signalizing; - 7 flashes indicate triggering of the second sensor.
