Vehicular HF Antenna The MVMP2X30 is designed to enhance the capabilities of the common HF tactical radio application by allowing tuner-less operation across the HF band. This antenna base has integral broadband impedance matching allowing broadband waveforms to be utilized even after the addition of higher power amplifiers. Additionally, this antenna will cover 5-60 MHz with a VSWR of less than 3.5:1. For more efficient operation in the 2-5 MHz region of spectrum an accessory tuner is available to provide a lower VSWR required by some tactical transceiver products. The tuner can be located anywhere between the transceiver output and the input of the common mode choke. The tuner requires a DC voltage source of 11-16 Volts DC @ 750 mA. For most vehicular platforms efficiency depending on vehicular ground loss averages > 75%. The connector provided with the antenna is a type N Female other connectors available upon request. A 16ft (4.88 m) fiberglass whip, consisting of four screw together sections, is mounted on top of a tilting whip adapter and spring assembly. The base matching unit is also provided with a cable assembly that includes a common mode RF choke. Made in the USA

Vehicular HF Antenna “BREAK THROUGH TECHNOLOGY” The broadband antenna can be used in two modes (1) Broadband with no tuner required or (2) selec ve mode with tuner. Specifica ons: A. Mobile Vehicular Antenna The MVMP100X4 was developed to meet the rigors of military tactical environments and provide reliable communications under the most adverse conditions. The primary parameters for the design of the MVMP100X4 were as follows:
Optimum Gain for 100-400 MHz Low Profile for Minimum Physical Signature Low VSWR (< 2.5:1) Survivability in Hostile Environments Ground Independence (i.e. to perform on fiberglass as well as metal surfaces)
The radiator is encased in a durable fiberglass radome and attached to the matching base unit by a heavy duty stainless steel coil spring. Both the radiator and base matching unit are pressure filled with a structural thermoset foam for maximum strength. The spring is coated with black nickel and the aluminum base flange is black anodized. The entire antenna is over coated with a matte black two-part urethane. Optimum performance is achieved when the MDB001 is used with UM002 universal vehicular antenna mount. The antenna is easy to install using the 1/4” stainless steel cap screws (6 ea.) provided with the UM002 mount. The bolt holes are evenly spaced on a 3-1/16” circle. The Type-N Female connector is recessed in the base mounting flange for mechanical and protection from the environment. UM002 mounting bracket not included. Made in the USA

The primary parameters for the design are as follows: Optimum Gain for 100-400 MHz Low VSWR ( < 2.5:1) Survivability in Hostile Environments Ground Independence (i.e. to perform on fiberglass as well as metal surfaces) A radiator element is encased in a durable fiberglass radome and attached to the base matching unit by a heavy duty stainless steel coil spring. The radome, base matching unit and mounting flange are over coated with a matte black two-part urethane. Series II Diplexer The Series II Diplexer is part of our Series II Communications Platform, but can be used separately to isolate a 20-88 MHz (low band) antenna from a 113-512 MHz (high band) antenna. It can also be used to feed two antenna outputs into a single radio input. The Series II Diplexer adds very little loss (less than 1/4 dB at most frequencies) while providing excellent isolation (as much as 60 dB)
