“IN- Rush” Current
The input capacitance of 9201 is 2 x 68uF in parallel = 136uF. If you know the output resistance of the used power supply and the resistance of the DC input wiring you can calculate the in-rush current for your scenario. Note that battery charging is supervised by the PIC, and is not started right after DC is applied and so does not impact in-rush current. In-rush current does not exceed the maximum current for the 9201 which is 3.3A (with or without the battery).
