ViClaro IV GX Host Board Overview The Microtronix ViClaro IV GX Host Board is a versatile video and image processing development platform targeting applications used in consumer, automotive and medical market segments. Featuring a Cyclone IV EP4CGX110 FPGA device, the ViClaro IV is an open architecture board supporting 3 Altera compatible HSMC headers enabling designers to select from a wide range of high-speed mezzanine card (HSMC) compatible daughter cards. One of the HSMC connectors support industry standard cards while the other two support 4 GX Tx/Rx transceiver interfaces capable of 600 Mbps to 3.125 Gbps data rates. To facilitate Camera Link Frame Grabber Full development, the ViClaro IV GX board provides extra clock inputs from the HSMC pins to programmable PLL clock synthesizers which resolve PLL design limitations on other FPGA development cards. The card provides 256 MB of DDR2 memory on a 64-bit data bus which enables the card to support HD video applications up to 1080p60.
