Chyron XClyps HD/SD Clip Server (serial) • Use the VTR Preroll knob to select 10. 3. Press Com Type. • Use the Type knob to select RS-232. 4. Press Com Settings. Requirements • Video Server Control software option • Use the Baud knob to select 38400. • If you are using multiple video channels on the XClyps, each channel should be assigned to a separate Remote Port, or a Port Expander should be used. • Use the Parity knob to select ODD. • Serial Interface Cable (DB9 to DB9) • Use the Option knob to select TargetMachine. • Use the Value knob to select XClyps. To Set Up Video Inputs 1. Press HOME  Setup  Installation  BNC  BNC Type. • Use the BNC knob to select the input BNC that the video output of the XClyps is connected to. Press HOME  Setup  Installation  Com Setup  Type. • Use the Com Port knob to select the REMOTE X port that you connected the XClyps to. • Use the Device knob to select VTR (CLIP). • Use the Device knob to select VDCP. • Use the Controller knob to select the port on the switcher that you assigned the XClyps to. 3. Press VDCP Setup. Pinouts 2. Press Select Device. 2. Press More  VTR/VDCP Xpts. • Use the Channel knob to select the channel on the XClyps that you want to assign to the BNC. • Use the SubAddress knob to select the same value as Channel. 4. Press HOME  Confirm. Troubleshooting If the device is communicating properly, but you cannot gain control from the switcher, try cycling through different values for the SubAddress, and then the Channel. The most common settings are as follows: • Channel set to the video channel number and SubAddress set to 0. • Channel set to the video channel number and SubAddress set to the serial communications port on the video server.
