Sydney NSW 2208 Australia Phone: 02 9554 9600 | Fax: 02 9554 9433 [email protected] | www.domuslighting.com Troubleshooting If you are experiencing difficulty with your new ceiling fan, it may be the result of incorrect assembly, installation or wiring. Please follow this checklist before contacting Domus. If Fan does not work or start rotating: • Check wall switch is in the ON position. • Check remote control battery is working. The LED on the remote control should light up in RED when a button is pressed. • Is there power to the fan? The Main safety switch or circuit breaker may be tripped or in the OFF position. • A wire may be lose and not connected properly. Please recheck wiring. If Fan is noisy: • Secure all screws in motor housing. • Secure all screws which attach the blade holder to the motor. • Allow a “break-in” period of 24 hours, as most noises associated with a new fan will disappear after this period. If Fan wobbles: • Make sure the ball joint is locked into place with the lug in the mounting bracket. • Check that all the blades are screwed firmly into the blade holders. • Make sure that the canopy and the mounting bracket are tightened securely to the ceiling and supporting beam or ceiling joist. • Interchange two adjacent blades (side-by-side) which can redistribute the weight and possibly result in smoother operation. • Screws are firmly tightened into downrod holder. • If Light does not work: • Check fan wires are connected properly to mains cables. • Check for lose or disconnected wire in fan switch housing or light kit. IF PROBLEMS STILL OCCUR, PLEASE CONTACT DOMUS WHILE INSTALLER IS STILL ON SITE. NOTE: In case of missing or damaged parts, or any problems with the ceiling fan at time of installation, if within business hours, the installer must contact Domus before leaving the job site. Please DO NOT remove the ceiling fan from the ceiling unless Domus instructs this to be done. Note: The Ceiling Fan must be installed by a licensed Electrician.
