VIGILANCE, safety around the pool Alarm system for unfenced in-ground private or commercial pools that detects falls into the pool. The VIGILANCE™ alarm system, utilizing passive sonar technology, employs up to four sensors strategically positioned below the water level and connected to a control panel. As this system analyses sound waves under the water, the effects of surface incidents like wind and rain, a common cause of false alarms, are significantly reduced. In addition, and independently of the in-pool sensors, the same control panel can monitor an unlimited number of VIGIE MONTRE wristbands that trigger the alarm upon contact with water.

The VIGIE 255 M kit comprises 2 small inconspicuous sensors installed under the water line, a control panel, a wristband and a remote control. It is designed to meet the stipulations of the French pool safety standard NF P 90-307-1 (April 2009).
The mains powered control panel features a powerful integrated alarm. A backup battery assures continued operation of the control panel in the event of a power failure.
The sensors, the active parts of the detection system, are installed under the water line. This means that they are almost insensitive to surface events that are the most frequent cause of false alarms; ball falling into the pool, waves, rain, etc.
The system can be easily deactivated when the pool is in use. It resets automatically 10 minutes after the last bather leaves the pool. The system will automatically prolong standby mode in 2 minute increments for as long as people remain in the pool. A minimum of two sensors must be installed, however for larger pools, free-form pools, or pools fitted with inegrated cleaning systems, up to 4 sensors can be fitted.

Sound travels at 1,460 meters per second under water, a fall into the water is detected instantly by the sensor and transmitted via the cable 4 to the control panel. A red LED 5 lights up when a sensor detects an event. Buttons 6 and 7 on the remote control are used to temporarily deactivate the system. Button 7 allows instant activation of the control unit. Winterizing function: press button 8 on the remote control simultaneously with buttons 2 and 3 on the control unit.

The control unit features an integrated 105 dBA alarm that is triggered 2 when a fall into the pool is detected. To 3 silence the alarm press either the red 2 or the green button 3 or press either 6 or 7 on the remote control. 1
The red button 2 allows instant activation of the control unit. While buttons 2 and 3 are used to temporarily deactivate and/or test the system. The red and green LEDs indicate the system status (system activated or deactivated).

Two wireless pre-alarm options can be added to the control unit. The CORVIGIE door open sensor and the IREXVIGIE proximity sensor. Upon activation, these sensors trigger a medium intensity alarm for 30 seconds. If no action is taken after 30 seconds, the alarm will sound at full power. Thus, you are instantly alerted of an unsafe situation and you can intervene before any contact with the water.
procopi.com No pool protection system can replace the vigilance of a responsible adult. An adult must watch the pool, remaining close by during the time taken for the system to automatically reset. This alarm is a safety device that indicates danger (or the risk of danger). Rapid intervention, in less than 3 minutes, is mandatory if the alarm sounds.
