8140209 Working Not working Turn ON the Power Supply Working Not working MMI screen is working? Working Check main electric power Not working If power supply is ON but MMI is not working: 1. Disconnect the floating cable from power supply 2. Disconnect MMI cable from power supply 3. Connect tester to MMI socket at the power supply Tester LEDs are ON Tester LEDs are OFF Repair power supply 2 Replace MMI Repair power supply 1. Turn ON the power supply 2. Click on the MENU button, 3. Scroll to ERROR REPORT in the 2nd screen. 4. Click SELECT 5 Follow the errors table on pages 3-4 with corrective action for the last errors Connect to working socket and turn on the power supply 3 4 Run SYSTEM TEST System test OK Go to page 6 1. Turn OFF the power supply 2. Disconnect the MMI cable 3. Connect tester to floating cable 4. Turn ON the power supply Tester LEDs are OFF Repair the floating cable 5 PS communication Fail “DC IN” “Fuse fail” Repair power supply Go to page 5 “Fuse Fail” Connect tester to MMI terminal on the power supply PS voltage OK Disconnect the floating cable from the power supply and run SYSTEM TEST 1. Check for water in the motor unit socket 2. Clean the contacts at the red plug of the floating cable 1. Connect MU and MMI 2. Run SYSTEM TEST 3. Test OK? PS voltage Fail “Card fail” / “Over C” Tester LEDs are ON OK System test OK Go to page 6 Robot communication fail Robot heading fail PS voltage fail NO Replace motor unit Repair power supply Tester LEDs are ON Tester LEDs are OFF Repair power supply Replace MMI Run SYSTEM TEST System test OK Go to page 6 OK Robot heading fail Robot communication fail PS voltage OK PS communication OK 1. Turn OFF the power supply 2. Connect a new navigation box to the motor unit 3. Run SYSTEM TEST again Fail Replace navigation box 1. Turn OFF the power supply 2. Connect tester to the power supply (floating cable socket) 3. Disconnect MMI cable from power supply 4. Turn ON the power supply Tester LED are OFF Repair power supply Replace motor unit Tester LEDs are ON 1. Turn OFF the power supply 2. Connect the floating cable to power supply 3. Connect the tester to floating cable 4. Verify that MMI cable is disconnected 5. Turn ON the power supply Tester LEDs are ON Tester LEDs are OFF 1. Connect MU and MMI 2. Run SYSTEM TEST OK System test OK Go to page 6 6 Fail Replace motor unit 1. Check for water in the MU socket 2. Clean the contacts on the red plug of the floating cable 3. Replace the plug & O-ring if necessary Repair floating cable Run SYSTEM TEST PS Voltage Fail / Fuse Fail 1. Turn OFF the power supply 2. Disconnect floating cable from power supply 3. Check for a short between the Blue BULGIN connector pins Short No short 1. Disconnect floating cable from motor unit 2. Check for a short in red retrofit connector No short Replace motor unit and fuse 7 Replace fuse Short Repair cable 1. Connect cables 2. Run SYSTEM TEST 3. Follow flow chart on pages 3-4 No new error After completing SYSTEM TEST run the robot in the pool Check if robot stops or new error message appears Robot OK You receive one of the following error messages: Robot drives in circle “No communication” error Check drive train (gear, sprocket, couplings, shafts etc) Not OK Replace navigation system Check robot self test Self test not OK Replace navigation system Run robot self test 8 1. Check for water in the MU socket 2. Clean the contacts of the red plug of the floating cable (retrofit) 3 Replace the plug & O-ring if necessary OK Replace the mechanically defective parts “Impeller overload” “Drive overload” “Robot is stuck on wall” “Robot is stuck” “Out of water” “Navigation system” error Replace mechanically defective parts Run SYSTEM TEST (pages 3-4) Run robot self test Self test OK
