Dell, Jr. (1923–2013) Ed Dell, founder of Audio Amateur, passed away on February 25, 2013. Ed was a remarkable man who embraced life and all it had to offer. He was an Episcopal minister, a writer, an editor, and later in life, a publisher who brought DIY audio design and construction to enthusiasts around the world. His magazines included: The Audio Amateur, Speaker Builder, Glass Audio, audioXpress, and of course, Voice Coil. A tribute to Ed’s work is planned for Voice Coil’s May issue. Beston Technology was founded in 2002 in Taipei, Taiwan. Since its inception, Beston has focused on high-frequency ribbon devices using a Kapton substrate.
