To attain this, note the following points: „ Install sealing ring and grease cap as shown. „ Only re-install bearings if clean, do not wash bearings. „ Carefully adjust wheel bearing play. Replace Brake drum „ Before removing, reset brake shoes through threaded hole of wheel bolts 42-3, Reset brake Wheel bearing, servicing „ „ Secure outer wheel bearing against falling off when removing brake drum. „ Before installing, fill hub with sealing grease G 052 128 A1 Outer wheel bearing „ Drive out outer ball race using copper mandrel „ Pressing in 42-3, Pressing in outer ball race for outer wheel bearing „ Thrust pad „ Hex nut „ Adjusting wheel bearing play 42-3, Adjusting wheel bearing play „ Castle nut „ Grease cap „ Pressing off 42-3, Pressing off grease cap and 42-3, Pressing off grease cap „ Driving in 42-3, Driving in grease cap Page 4 / 21 Wheel bearing, servicing Pressing off grease cap Loosen grease cap from seat by tapping lightly on claw. Pressing off grease cap Page 5 / 21 Wheel bearing, servicing Driving in grease cap Note: „ Always replace damaged (dented) grease caps. „ Damaged (dented) grease caps allow moisture to enter. Therefore, always use the tool shown. Adjusting wheel bearing play Note: „ Thrust pad must be movable when applying finger pressure on screwdriver without prying. - Secure with castle nut and new pin. Reset brake Page 6 / 21 Wheel bearing, servicing - To do so, press wedge upward through a hole in brake drum using a screwdriver. Page 20 / 21 Wheel bearing, servicing Tightening torque: 10 Nm Removing and installing rotor for wheel speed sensor - Drive rotor off outer joint using a drift (rotor will be destroyed when doing this). - Carefully install new rotor up to stop using plastic hammer.
