Volume control The volume button changes its function depending on whether you are in an active call or not. You will see an indicator of the volume level on the screen when you press this button. In a call When you have the phone off the hook, the volume button will control the volume of what you can hear – whether you are using the receiver, speakerphone, or a headset. On the hook While the phone is on the hook, the volume button will control the ringer volume of the phone. It will demonstrate the ringer volume out loud so that you can hear how loudly your phone will ring. With the phone on the hook, the volume button changes the ringer volume for your handset. In a call, the volume button changes the volume of what you can hear – the receiver, the speaker or your headset You can see on-screen which volume setting you are adjusting The bars indicate what the volume is currently set to
