VOR/LOC/GS ANTENNA 6243-83-00/108-118 MHz & 328-336 MHz The most important thing we build is trust FOR PINPOINT NAVIGATION ● Designed for use on fixed-wings and helicopters ● Qualified against direct lightning ● Dual VOR/ILS outputs ● Leading-edge protection against erosion ● Compact size for reduced drag www.cobham.com VOR/LOC/GS ANTENNA 6243-83-00/108-118 MHz & 328-336 MHz Product Features The passive VOR/LOC/GS antenna P/N 6243-83-00 is designed for use VOR/LOC/GS ANTENNA 6243-83-00: on fixed-wings and helicopters. Frequency range: VOR/LOC: 108-118 MHz Glide Slope: 328-336 MHz This antenna set includes two radiating elements embedded into blade radomes (6244-44), and a dual BNC output coupler (5046-89) Nominal impedance: 50 Ohms VSWR: ≤ 5 providing separate RF cables for NAV 1 and NAV 2 receivers. Typical VSWR curve: It provides Glide Slope reception capability and is aerodynamicallydesigned to reduce size and drag. The two blade radomes feature antistatic paint to minimize static peak. Leading-edge protection guards against erosion, and a strip diverter shields against direct lightning. About Cobham Aerospace Communications Cobham Aerospace Communications is a global supplier of avionics and slip-ring solutions for civil and military applications. Polarization: Linear Horizontal Dimensions/Weight (approx.): Sizes: See drawing (mm/inch) Weight: ≤ 1.6 kg / 3.5 lbs (antennas + coupler) Antenna Connectors: TNC Female Coupler Connectors: BNC Female Compliance: Operating temperature range: -55°C to +85°C Altitude: 51,000 ft Sealing: by O-ring Lightning protection: By strip diverter for direct effects and induced transient susceptibility DO-160G and MIL-STD-810G RTCA TSO 2C40c and 2C34f Paint finishes: The 6243-83 is available with different standard colors as white polyurethane paint, finishing coat antistatic paint, anti-erosion paint on the leading edge and treatment against corrosion for the connector.
