Level – pump output The pump output is set continuously with the DMX signal. When the value of DMX signal is zero the pump is switched off.
Fan – fan output Fan output is controlled by 10-percent. The turning on of the fan at minimum output is at 10percent.
Timer – timer period Timer period is set in seconds in the range from 0 to 200 seconds (3 minutes and 20 seconds) so that the value of DMX percentage is multiplied by 2 (100% x 2 = 200 seconds). When the value of DMX signal is zero the timer is switched off. When the value of the DMX signal is 1% the timer is set to 2 seconds, etc.
Duration – run duration of the pump The running time of the pump is set continuously from 0 to 20 seconds.
Timer The timer allows you to set the time of the fog dosing as required. The timer parameters can be set in the menu – directly on the display of the device or through the DMX signal in the mode 3 and 4. The DMX signal, if present, has the priority over the local setting and therefore when the DMX signal is connected to the device the local timer is switched off and it can not even be displayed in the menu. The time period of the fogging is given by the timer setting and in the local setting mode (without the DMX signal) the following values can be set: 0 = OFF 14 s 28 s 90 s 5.5 m

The time of the fogging is indicated by the “Duration” setting. The duration can be set from 0 (fogging is switched off) up to 20 seconds. 3 ©Art Lighting Production, s.r.o.
Error messages. LED indicators For the working state indication 4 LEDs are used (description from top to bottom): • DMX – indication of the present DMX-512 signal • READY – indicates warming up of the evaporator to the required temperature • ERROR – indication of an existing fault • FAN – start of the fan DMX indicator The presence of the DMx-512 signal is indicated by the lighting of the LED indicator. After the disconnecting of the DMX-512 signal the LED indicator still lights approx. for 2 seconds and then it is switched off. READY indicator The warming up of the evaporator to the required temperature is signaled by the “READY” indicator. If the remote control is connected to the device then together with this indicator will be lighted at the same time also the “READY” indicator on the remote control. The switching on of the pump is conditioned by the lighting of this indicator. 3.1.3 ERROR indicator The fault occurred on the device is signaled by the red “ERROR” indicator. The faults that are fundamental for the device operation are signaled by the flashing LED indicator, other faults by continuous lighting LED indicator. The device distinguishes 8 types of faults: The ERROR indicator is flashing • Circuit breaking of the heating coil – heating spiral or electric power supply to the spiral are not in good order. The failure is indicated on the display with the abbreviation “E:BrHeat”. • Faulty (disconnected) heating spiral fuse – the fuse designated as SPIRAL FUSE F1 is probably faulty. The failure is indicated on the display with the abbreviation “E:HeatFu”. • Circuit breaking of the pump – pump fuse, pump or electric power supply to the pump are not in good order. The failure is indicated on the display with the abbreviation “E:BrPump”. • The temperature sensor is short-circuited – the measured temperature is too low, probably the sensor or the wiring are faulty or short-circuited. The failure is indicated on the display with the abbreviation “E:TempSC”. • The temperature sensor is disconnected – the measured temperature is too high, probably the sensor or the wiring are faulty or disconnected. The failure is indicated on the display with the abbreviation “E:TempDi”. The ERROR indicator lights • Circuit breaking of the fan – fan or the electric power supply to the fan are not in good order. The failure is indicated on the display with the abbreviation “E:BrFan”. The failure can occur only when the fan is switched on. • Faulty (disconnected) fan fuse – the fuse is designated as FAN FUSE F3. The failure is indicated on the display with the abbreviation “E:FanFus”. The failure can occur only when the fan is switched on. 3.1.4 FAN indicator Indication of the switched on fan with “FAN” indicator. The LED indicator is connected in series with the triac switching circuit, so the brightness of the indicator corresponds approximately to the intensity of the running fan. Since the electronics controls the circuit of the fan during the fan running the LED indicating the fan operation flashes at short intervals (fades). 4 ©Art Lighting Production, s.r.o.
Display The display of all operating parameters and setting of the device is made using an 8-character alphanumeric display. Displaying of data is made by a menu system. For the navigation through the menu – subsequent displaying of the required items according to the marked arrows – the button “MENU” is used. Some of the menu items can be displayed only in certain situations. The scheme of the complete system menu and the description of each item is shown in the following subsections. Some of the menu items are used at the same time for value setting. The value of such items can be changed with buttons UP (↑) and DOWN (↓). The storing of the values in the memory is indicated by a short fading of the display after finishing the editing.

Box for accessories. The box for accessories has not only the “case” version but also the basic version without the transport case. Basic version Drag the metal sheet overlapping the display away from display. After overcoming the resistance of the locking magnet you shall draw up the sheet metal over the display and the space of the storage box will open. Case version The drawer for accessories is located under the display at the same level as the drawer with fan (located on the other side under the discharge valve).
Safety instructions. 1. Never touch the heater outlet. Its temperature exceeds 200°C. This heater outlet must have such high operating temperature to avoid residual liquid dripping onto the floor. Danger of skin burning! 2. The device is switched on by inserting and turning the PowerCon power cable in a clockwise direction. The device can also be switched off by turning the PowerCon connector counterclockwise. When disconnecting the connector or when the power supply shall be interrupted it is necessary to move the silver connector lock to yourself and then rotate. Never turn the connector by force! 3. Remember to disconnect the device from the main supply when you finished the rehearsals or performances. Remember that heater temperature is maintained at 300°C and the device must therefore be operated only under the supervision of authorized persons!!! Due to the high operating temperature it is dangerous to leave the device unattended! In case of a failure there exists a fire hazard! 4. Do not place the device near flammable materials! 5. Do not connect to the regulated PowerCon socket (white) any luminaires or other appliances with an output of more than 500W. The regulation is done in steps with regard to the power supply of the fans. Before using the fan ensure that the fan accelerates even at the lowest 1 stage. If the electric current level of the lowest 1 stage does not have the strength needed to start up the fan, it could subsequently cause the fan motor winding burn and a fire hazard! 6. At the Case version keep absolutely clean the entire area for pouring of the liquid. Although the device is equipped with a stainless steel filter however the small particles, such as soil, food rests or the ashes of cigarettes, could get through the filter and cause the clogging of the heater!

Notes and safety instructions for the Case version. Fan Output In the Case version there is not connected the regulated outlet to the external fan because of the overloading.
Integrated stainless steel tank for fog liquid The built-in tank for fog liquid is equipped wit a cap with the micro-ventilation of air. The tilting or overturning of the transport case could result in gradual leaks of the fog liquid. If you want to prevent these leakages then watertight seal (blind) the brass valve on the cap (for transport cases only!). When operating this valve must be breathing to allow drawing of the fog liquid into the device. The fog liquid tank is designed to allow the filling up of the liquid also in the darkness. After lifting the cover and unscrewing the cap the liquid flows down the cone walls into the tank. Make sure that no dirt will enter into the space under the lid. Although the tank is equipped with a cylindrical filter made of stainless steel mesh, it will prevent only the penetration of solid particles. From time to time it is necessary to pull out and clean the strainer. If it comes to the dirt penetration into the heater then these impurities will start caking at the high temperature and that may cause the clogging of the passage for the liquid through the heater. This problem can be solved only by the exchange of the heater.
Integrated fan Before tilting out of the fan make sure that the drawer with the fan is on the arresting end stop. Otherwise it might not be possible to tilt out the fan or the drawer with the fan would be moving during operation! By pulling the silver screw the fan will fold out from the device. During tilting out of the fan you can hear the clicking of the position lock. By tilting the fan to the end stop the fan locking

device will jump out and the fan can be put back in the drawer or the finding of the suitable inclination can be repeated. ATTENTION! Do not blow the fog through the fan at the fog output level higher than 60%! At the higher fog output a significant condensation of the fog liquid on the fan can occur!
