Universal Repeater Mode WAP‐300BGN Factory Default • To Factory Default the WAP‐300BGN or WRT‐300BGN, Power on and wait for unit to finish booting up. Then Press & Hold the Reset/WPS button on the back of the  unit for ~ 12 seconds (until the POWER LED starts BLINKING  Fast) then Release the Reset/WPS button. Unit will reset and  now be at factory default. Note: If the Power LED does not start blinking fast, disconnect  all Ethernet cables and repeat process. Universal Repeater Mode Configuration Assign an IP address of 192.168.2.5 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 to your PC . Connect an Ethernet cable from your PC to a LAN port on the WAP-300BGN (Wireless Access Point). Note: After configuration ‐ In Repeater Mode the Ethernet  port should only be used to access the  WAP‐300BGN’s management and not as a LAN port ! Open Browser, enter 192.168.2.1 in the address bar and press Enter. Login username = admin, Password = 1234, Then Click OK. Below is the Home Screen of the WAP‐300BGN. Select Basic Settings Basic Settings screen. Click the down arrow to the right of Mode and Select   “Universal Repeater” Select Site Survey Select which Access Point you want to repeat. After selecting an AP, Click Connection. Change Main ESSID from default to desired ESSID, Then Click Apply Click Continue Click Security Click the down arrow to the right of Encryption and Select   Encryption type same as on AP selected in Site Survey. For WPA & WPA2 Select Mixed Mode, Next Select Passphrase or Hex (64 characters) Enter Pre‐Shared Key, Next Click Apply Click Continue Click System Utility Assign an IP Address, Subnet Mask & Gateway. Scroll down and Click Apply Click OK Click APPLY System has saved configuration & is Restarting. Click OK Repeater Mode setup is Complete. You can now change your IP Address back on your PC.  To reconnect to the WAP‐300BGN, Connect a PC with the correct  IP Address to the LAN port of the WAP‐300BGN. Then Open a Brower to the address assigned to it & login. Note: In Repeater Mode the Ethernet port should only be used to access the WAP-300BGN management and not as a LAN port !
