Fuji Xerox will, if it determines your Fuji Xerox product to be defective, repair or replace the product for the period of the product warranty and any extension of this warranty that you may have obtained at the time of purchase of the product. However, please note that this will only occur if the Fuji Xerox Support Centre is unable to rectify the defect with your assistance and cooperation, over the telephone. Whenever inspection or mechanical intervention is required, quick exchange service will be delivered under the terms of your product warranty - please see the terms and conditions for details. General Terms and Conditions If you have a problem with your product during the warranty period The answers to many questions may be found in the Online Support Assistant found on our website at www.fujixeroxprinters.com/support. You may also consult the documentation provided with your product (check the troubleshooting section). Your product is designed to perform with a minimum amount of user maintenance. You are however responsible for the required user maintenance, described in the “User Guide” provided with your product. This includes the replacement of customer replaceable units (CRU’s) such as print cartridges and maintenance kits, clearing paper misfeeds, and cleaning the unit and other prescribed routine and preventative maintenance. Service Our “Quick Exchange” program is the easiest and quickest way to provide you with a repair service under this warranty. Fuji Xerox recommends the customer first utilise information contained in the Online Support Assistant at www.fujixeroxprinters.com/support, check the troubleshooting section of the “User Guide”, utilise the troubleshooting tools within the software provided. If the problem persists, to obtain service under this warranty the customer must notify Fuji Xerox Support Centre of the defect before the expiration of the warranty period. Before you call please be ready to provide your product serial number, date of purchase and a description of the problem. Telephone Support personnel will work to resolve issues professionally and quickly, however the customer must reasonably assist Fuji Xerox. If telephone support is unsuccessful, we will provide you with an exchange product subject to a Proof of Purchase being faxed through to our support centre. This exchange product is a permanent replacement for your product and automatically inherits your original product’s remaining warranty. This requires us to collect your credit card details until we receive the faulty unit. If the original product isn’t returned within 10 business days Fuji Xerox will invoice you for the full list price of the unit at time of shipping. Fuji Xerox retains the right to provide an alternative warranty service option at its sole discretion. No reseller is authorised to modify the terms of this warranty. Any additional warranty offered by a reseller is the sole responsibility of that reseller. In the maintenance of the product, Fuji Xerox may use new, remanufactured, or refurbished parts, assemblies, or products. All defective parts, assemblies, and products become the property of Fuji Xerox. Fuji Xerox may require the return of parts, assemblies, and products to a designated Fuji Xerox Depot or the Fuji Xerox representative from which the part, assembly, or product was originally purchased. Returns and claims will be handled according to the current Fuji Xerox procedure. Limitation of liability TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LOCAL LAW, EXCEPT FOR THE OBLIGATIONS SPECIFICALLY SET FORTH IN THIS WARRANTY STATEMENT, IN NO EVENT SHALL FUJI XEROX AND ITS VENDORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS) WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY AND IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER FUJI XEROX OR THE VENDOR HAS ADVANCE NOTICE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Australian Consumers: Your only remedy under this agreement is to repair or replace your eligible units as described in this document. In addition you will have certain rights under the Trade Practices Act 1974, as amended, (The Act), nothing in this document shall restrict, exclude or modify those rights and the application of the Act. Fuji Xerox then, to the extent permitted by the Act, limits its liability for consequential loss in connection with the supply of the product to, and at its exclusive option any one or more of the following: the repair or replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods, the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or the acquiring of similar goods. Proof and Date of Purchase To obtain Quick Exchange service under warranty, proof and date of purchase is required. All product repairs/replacements will only be completed on the provision of the original purchase receipt showing your date of purchase. 11-06-QE

Service Area, times and service provider Under this warranty Quick Exchange service is provided within the country of purchase by an Authorised Service Provider or Fuji Xerox Service Centres during normal business hours (excluding public holidays). Exchange Products Fuji Xerox may use new, or equivalent to new or refurbished products of equal or improved quality. An exchange product may be a subsequent model, which shall meet or exceed the specification of the replaced product. All non-working products replaced by a Fuji Xerox exchange product shall become the property of Fuji Xerox. Shipping Charges Fuji Xerox shall pay for the delivery of the exchange product to the customer via express delivery. Return shipping charges will be paid by Fuji Xerox, provided the customer returns the defective product via the carrier designated by Fuji Xerox and the customer uses replacement product packaging. Please contact Fuji Xerox to confirm the Quick Exchange option is available to you. Obligations of Customer Upon receipt of the exchange product, the customer must return the defective product within ten (10) business days to the location designated by Fuji Xerox, unless requested otherwise by Fuji Xerox. Failure to return the defective product to such location will result in the customer being billed the full list price of the exchange product. The customer is responsible for following repackaging instructions, which includes but is not limited to removing the toner cartridge from the defective product. Repair of any damage caused by not following these instructions will be billed to the customer. The customer is also responsible for transferring any accessories or options, such as network or memory cards to the new product. Exclusion of Customer Replaceable Units (CRUs) This warranty does not cover CRU’s such as the toner and drum assembly. When a CRU is determined by Fuji Xerox to be defective (in materials or workmanship, but not because the CRU did not reach its published print production life) during the warranty period or 90 days from date of installation, whichever is greater, a free replacement unit will be shipped to the customer for customer replacement. CRU’s recommended as suitable for use in the product are listed in the “User Guide”. Service after your product warranty expires When your warranty expires, you can obtain product service on a time and materials basis at Fuji Xerox, the current rates for parts and labour apply. You can apply or purchase a maintenance contract anytime during your warranty period. For information please visit our website at www.fujixeroxprinters.com. Limitations Fuji Xerox should not be obligated under this warranty to: • Repair damage resulting from attempts by personnel other than Fuji Xerox representatives to install, repair or service the product unless directed by a Fuji Xerox representative; • Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from improper use or connection to incompatible equipment or memory; • Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance caused by the use of non Fuji Xerox/Xerox parts, supplies or consumables or the use of Fuji Xerox/Xerox supplies not specified for use with this product; • Repair an item that has been modified or integrated with other products when the effect of such modification or integration increases the time or difficulty of servicing the product or degrades performance or reliability; • Perform product maintenance or cleaning or to repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from failure to perform product maintenance and cleaning as prescribed in published product materials; • Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from use of the product in an environment not meeting the operating specifications set forth in the product’s documentation; • Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from failure to properly prepare and transport the product as prescribed in published product materials; • Repair damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance resulting from acts of God or nature, acts of terrorism, explosion, flood, fire, war, and riots; • Repair the product after the limit of its duty cycle has been reached; • Replace items that have been refilled, are used up, abused, misused, or tampered with in any way; • Install replacement items that are considered customer replaceable; • Support software not supplied by Fuji Xerox/Xerox; • Provide software or firmware updates or upgrades; • Provide any application software installation, support or service on a host network or computer; • Repair any accessories not supplied by the manufacturer; • Cover freight costs to and from the Depot, Authorised Service Provider or Fuji Xerox Service Centre outside capital cities. Please note that the warranty is non transferable. Any service identified in the preceding section and provided by Fuji Xerox at the customer’s request will be invoiced to the customer at Fuji Xerox current rates for parts and labour. Quick Exchange Warranty for One year or 30,000 pages
Fuji Xerox warrants that the DocuPrint M205b and its Consumables, Regular Replacement Items, and Options/Upgrades (related items) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the periods set out below: Printer - a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment or 30,000 Pages, whichever comes first Toner(s) – 90 days from the date of installation and until original toner is 80% consumed Consumables or Regular Replacement Items (for specific examples refer to the product User Guide) – the period of the remaining printer warranty or 90 days from date of installation, whichever is greater, but not more than one (1) year from date of shipment, except where longer periods are required by law. (These items are not covered once the “Low-life”, “End of life” or “Replace xxx” message appears or reach its published print production life.) Options/Upgrades (such as memory, high-capacity feeder, etc) – the period of the remaining printer warranty or 90 days from the date of installation, whichever is greater, but not more than one (1) year from date of shipment, except where longer periods are required by law. Accessories (such as carts, dust covers, cleaning kits, etc.) – 90 days from the date of purchase except where longer periods are required by law. Duty Cycle/Useful Life Duty Cycle: “Duty Cycle” is a unit of output measurement referenced to a period of time (daily, monthly, etc). It is the print volume rating for given device, beyond which premature failure and shortening of the lifetime output rating may occur. Lifetime Output Rating: The expected total output for a given device over its useful life. Page/Month Up to 20,000
