During the warranty period servicing and maintenance must be carried to the correct schedule listed on the back cover by an authorised dealer/qualified technician, using genuine spare parts. Service invoices should be kept and the schedule section overleaf stamped as proof of maintenance. Failure to comply with the service requirements may invalidate the warranty cover. Two-stroke engine users only: If the oil warning light comes on please ensure that you top up the oil tank immediately to avoid serious engine damage or failure. Terms & Conditions
The company warrants the scooter to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of 24 months (12 months for commercial use), unlimited mileage from the date of first registration. Within the warranty period, if any failure of the scooter is determined by the company to be due to defects in manufacture of the structure or parts, the company will arrange for repair or replacement of the defective part or parts free of charge under a valid warranty. If the machine is to be used for commercial use i.e. courier, delivery scooter, training school or as part of a rental fleet a 12 months warranty period will apply. Any breakdown/recovery costs incurred are not covered by this warranty. This warranty is not valid under the following conditions: a) If parts have deteriorated due to normal wear and tear such as engine/transmission oil, batteries, belts, chains, friction linings, seats, tyres, spark plugs, oil and air filters, light bulbs, fuses plus external corrosion on exhausts etc. b) If the correct lubricating oil is not used. c) If instructions in the owner’s handbook are not followed correctly. d) If the scooter has been subject to improper use. e) If maintenance and repair is not carried out in the appropriate manner and to schedule or TGB genuine parts are not used. f) If oil has been allowed to drop below the recommended levels. g) If the scooter is altered from the standard specification in a manner that materially affects the performance or safety of the scooter or any of its component parts. Batteries are covered for a 12 months warranty period providing they have been maintained and not left to go flat/sulphate or subject to over charging. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact your local TGB scooter dealer. This warranty does not affect your statutory consumer purchase rights. The manufacturer reserves the right to change specification without prior notice. The import concessionaire wishes you many safe and pleasant journeys.
