® Water Filter Over 60% of ice machine service calls are water-related! A Tri-liminator filter will condition incoming water, reduce cleaning frequency, lower service costs, maximize equipment performance, and improve ice quality. REPLACEABLE CARTRIDGE DESIGN Manitowoc’s Tri-liminator Water Filter is an efficient, dependable, affordable water filtration method. • Inhibits scale formation, reduces cleaning frequency, assures proper equipment performance, and promotes energy efficiency. • Filters water sediment to prevent parts from jamming and plugging due to water-borne dirt accumulation. • Removes chlorine taste and odor, absorbs dissolved chlorine gas to produce quality ice and protect stainless steel surfaces from pitting and corrosion. Features and Benefits • Quick and easy replaceable filter. • Optional pre-filter extends primary filter’s life. (Included in assembly or available as accessory.) • Pre-assembled unit mounts vertically or horizontally. • Model Tri-L-10N ® NSF certified. • Simple start-up and changeout procedure. • Filter life indicator (red line gauge) gives 2 to 3-week changeout warning. • 3-year parts-and-labor warranty on cap, housing, hardware, and mounting assembly. (Filter excluded.) The Tri-liminator installs to the ice machine cold water supply. Simple, efficient design features a replaceable filter cartridge in a screw-on/off, FDA-approved housing. Cartridge contains 4 ounces of phosphate crystals, 23 ounces of granular carbon, and 2.5 square feet of post-filter material between bottom and top sediment screens. Designed exclusively for Manitowoc ice machines, this water filtration package has 230% more phosphate and 278% more carbon than the average brand. A cap-seated o-ring and square thread closure ensure leak-proof sealing. Pressure relief/ bleed button on the inlet side of the cap quickly releases trapped air from housing after cartridge changeout. No complex activation procedure or time-consuming pre-coating is necessary. Wide selection enables you to choose a Tri-liminator filter system to match the production capacity of your Manitowoc ice machine. Stack-on ice machines may require only one filter based on total ice-making capability. Pre-assembled system consists of mounting assembly, filter housing(s), filter cartridge(s), inlet shut-off valve, filter-life indicator, and 3⁄8" F.P.T. fittings. Replacement filters are sold separately. The pre-filter extends the filtration efficiency and working life of the primary filter cartridge where this condition exists. Manitowoc offers a five-micron pre-filter. Important Notice: Read this performance sheet and compare the capabilities of this unit with your actual water treatment needs. It is recommended that you have your water supply tested to determine your actual water treatment needs before purchasing a water treatment unit. The Manitowoc pre-filter is a cost-efficient solution to the particulate matter (dirty water) problem because pre-filter replacements are far more economical than a primary filter cartridge. Replace filter cartridge every 6 months or when flow diminishes. Warning: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Replacement Filters: Pre-filter..................................................K-00069 Primary cartridge....................................K-00070 Caution: The filter must be protected from freezing and direct sunlight. Failure to do so may result in cracking of the filter housing and water leakage. To ensure maximum filtration efficiency, replace the primary filter cartridge every 6 months. A filter gauge will indicate if replacement is necessary prior to six month's usage (below 20 psig). Note: Tri-liminator systems that include a pre-filter do not require primary filter replacement prior to six month's usage. If replacement is indicated, replace only the pre-filter.
