Salt Water Chlorinator Take the hard work out of owning your own pool with a WATERMAID® salt water chlorinator to keep the water crystal clear and sterilised. The WATERMAID® salt water chlorinator produces 100% available chlorine for your pool after mild saline water is filtered and passes through the electrolytic Cell. By comparison, granular chlorine contains 65% available chlorine and liquid chlorine contains only 12.5% available chlorine. Chlorine as produced by the WATERMAID® chlorinator is produced over a period of several hours, so is more evenly dispersed and therefore more comfortable on the skin. No more lifting heavy drums of chlorine or breathing in hazardous vapours! Just add salt and the WATERMAID® chlorinator is ready to go.

Chlorine Production Maximum WATERMAID® output per 10 hours operation = 300 grams of 100% available chlorine which is the equivalent of: 460 grams of granular chlorine or Calcium Hypochlorite (65% available chlorine) or 2.4 litres of liquid chlorine or Sodium Hypochlorite (12.5% available chlorine)

Electricity Usage At full capacity, the WATERMAID® chlorinator consumes only 300 watts of power. If operating during off peak electricity hours (at a cost of 8.8c/kWh), the WATERMAID® chlorinator costs only 2.4 cents per hour to run! Compare that to sanitising chemical costs!

For best results from your WATERMAID® Chlorinator, it is recommended that 25kg of Magnesium Chloride be added to the pool water each year.
