How to guide set up for “Borderless Internet DNS” powered by HYAS on most formats Changing the router is the best option as all connected devices on your network will be secured at the same time. Important Before you change your DNS settings make sure to write down the current server addresses settings. It is very important that you keep these numbers for backup purposes, in the case you will ever need to revert back to your original settings. ***Note that this feature will not work if your AirPort Extreme is in bridge mode. If you are using bridge mode, you’ll need to configure the DNS servers on your router.
STEP 1 Open the AirPort Utility application. (It’s in Applications / Utilities.) The window shown below appears. STEP 2 Click the AirPort Extreme’s icon. The status pop-up window appears STEP 3 Click Edit. The settings window appears. STEP 4 Select the Internet tab. The window shown below appears.
STEP 5 Enter the DNS servers in the Primary DNS Server and Secondary DNS Server fields.
192.169.69.169 192.169.69.168 STEP 6 Click Update. The AirPort Extreme will restart to apply the changes. After the AirPort Extreme turns back on, the DNS servers you specified will be used by all of the devices connected to your wireless network.

STEP 1 Log in to your router. If you are logged in then you should see this screen below.
STEP 2 Click on the “Advanced” tab. Then to the left side menu click on “DNS” (see image below)
STEP 3 The page you see above is the page you should now be on. First, tick the radio button labeled “Use the following DNS server addresses”. Now, in the box titled “Preferred DNS server” enter the primary address of the DNS server you plan on using. Below that is the “Alternate DNS server”, use this box to enter the secondary address of that DNS Server. Click the “Apply” button and you are finished.

STEP 1 Open your router administration page. It is usually one of the following; • 192.168.1.1 • 192.168.0.1 • 192.168.2.1 If those links does not work please consult your manual. STEP 2 Enter your username and password if you configured one. (The default details are) Username: admin Password: admin STEP 3 Click on Basic setup on the left under Setup STEP 4 Fill DNS server fields with values from the table below:

Open your router administration page. You are then directed to a page like the one you see above. Near the bottom of the page, find the section that reads Domain Name Server (DNS) Address. Directly under this heading are two radio buttons, tick the one labeled Use These DNS Servers. Below that, enter the primary address of the DNS Server in the boxes labeled Primary DNS. Remember that this address is always checked first. In the next set of boxes, the Secondary DNS, enter the secondary address of the DNS Server you plan on using. The address entered here will only be used if the primary is unavailable. Both DNS numbers are at the top of this webpage.

STEP 1 Open System Preferences (either by clicking the icon on the dock or by clicking the Apple Icon and selecting it from the list).
STEP 2 Click on the “Network” icon
STEP 3 Click on your desired internet connection (Step A) then click on the advanced button (Step B)
STEP 4 On the connection advanced properties window, click the DNS tab. The click the plus button to add our DNS.

STEP 1 From the main desktop screen, click the START button then click Settings
STEP 2 Click on Network and Internet
STEP 3 Click on WiFi or Ethernet (depending on your type of connection but on this guide we are on an Ethernet connection) then click Change adapter settings

STEP 4 Right Click on your network adapter and click on Properties
STEP 5 Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) STEP 6 Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)to highlight and click on Properties STEP 7 In the General tab click on Use the following DNS server addresses.

STEP 8 Fill DNS server fields with values from the table below and click OK.

STEP 1 If you are using a PC, move the mouse cursor to the bottom or top right corner of the screen and select the cog icon for Settings. If you are using a tablet, swipe left from the right side of the screen and select Settings.

Step 4 Right click on your connected network and select Properties.
Step 5 Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCIP/IPv4). Then Select Properties.
Step 6 Select “Obtain an IP address automatically”and Use the following DNS server addresses to change your computer’s DNS server addresses.

STEP 1 Click on Start button and click on Control Panel. Then click on Network and Sharing Center as seen below.
STEP 2 Click “Change Adapter Settings” in the left bar.

AT HOME STEP 3 Right click on your network device and choose properties. In my case this was Local Area Connection, but it could also be a wireless adapter or named something else.
STEP 4 Choose the IP version you would like to set the DNS settings for and click “properties”. I will be choosing IPv4 for this guide, but the steps are basically identical for IPv6.
STEP 5 In the window that pops up, click “Advanced” in the bottom right of the windows.
STEP 7 Click “Add” and then type DNS server addresses. STEP 6 Click the “DNS” tab at the top.
