WELCOME TO MotoGP™17! MotoGP™17 will catapult you into the fantastic world of MotoGP™. Compete in all official categories: the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup, Moto3™, Moto2™ and MotoGP™ and challenge the greats like Lorenzo, Márquez and Rossi. TO START In Quick Mode, get straight on track to test out your skills in one of the official MotoGP™ races or one of the historic rider categories. If you want to create your own rider and race with them, create it in My GP. You can create your virtual alter ego in the Career mode and start from the bottom to climb your way up to the heights of MotoGP™! You can put your strategic skills to the test in the Managerial Career mode, where you not only need excellent track skills, but also excellent Team management skills, as you compete in multiple categories! If you prefer becoming the greatest rider on the net, go to the online mode and challenge gamers from all around the world! You can also create a team with a friend to take part in a Co-op Season. Every race you join will help you to unlock Historic Riders, old masters you can use or challenge on the track.
SINGLE PLAYER MODES QUICK MODE You are free to choose the bike, track and race options you prefer to race in a Grand Prix against other artificial intelligence-controlled riders. You can also compare your times against the community’s in the Time Attack mode, or compete in an entire Championship and see how you do over the distance. RIDER CAREER Career mode represents the sporting journey of a rookie rider in the MotoGP™ world. You will start in the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup. Then you’ll be able to sign a contract with a new team for the following season. By gaining reputation and satisfying your Team’s demands, you will be able to sign for ever-better Teams until you are competing for the MotoGP™ Championship. MANAGERIAL CAREER Managerial Career mode puts both your riding and managerial skills to the test. You can create your own Team and start in Moto3™ as a Wild Card, to then watch it grow and finally reach MotoGP™. Hire more staff, sign contracts with Sponsors and develop your Bike to the best of its potential to compete against the most famous MotoGP™ Teams.
MULTIPLAYER MODES SPLIT SCREEN You and a friend can compete on the same console in the Split Screen mode. Choose your favourite riders and decide who’s best on the track! MotoGP ONLINE Race against riders from all over the world in all the official categories. You can choose whether to participate in a full Grand Prix, complete with qualifiers, or just in the race. In a Championship, players compete on various tracks for a certain number of consecutive races, collecting points according to the positions achieved in individual events. At the end of all the races, the rider with the most points wins. CO-OP SEASON Race together with a friend using your avatar in one of the official MotoGP™ world categories. To start, invite the friend you want to play with or accept their invite. Create your Team, choose one of the bikes available for Moto3™ and earn the right to compete for the biggest trophy on the track!
PHYSICS MotoGP™17 offers three different simulation levels to suit every kind of rider: Semi Pro, Standard and Pro. Select the bike physics level appropriate for your riding skills. At the Pro level, the bike reacts realistically, and you’ll have to use all your expertise to tame it, while at the lower levels the riding model is more forgiving. Furthermore, at higher levels, some of the other options will be automatically locked to predefined values. ADVANCED MANOEUVRES: Slowing down, lean angles, and coming out of corners The first step in controlling your bike is learning how to take corners correctly. When approaching a corner, move your bike towards the outside edge of the track and let your rider sit up a little, raising their torso to create more drag, which will help you slow down. At this point you can hold down the brake button, while the bike is still upright. To identify the best braking point (that is, where to start braking) you’ll need to get a bit of experience: use objects along the side of the track (such as posts or signs) as a visual reference, just like a real rider. After braking, enter the corner: lean the bike into the corner and try to follow the racing line (the ideal trajectory). During this phase its better to lay off the brakes, to avoid risking a fall. Coming out of the corner, try to right your bike as soon as you can and open the throttle, in order to pick up speed for the upcoming straight. You should, however, gently ease off the throttle if you feel your bike is losing grip.
