This cable should not exceed 328 feet; if a shorter cable is not available, please contact the wiADVISOR Support Team for further instructions. The wiADVISOR Access point is a power-over-Ethernet (POE) device, therefore a power outlet will not be needed at the mounting location. 2. The wiADVISOR Access Point can be mounted to a wall with the optional wall mount bracket, or to a pole using the molded mount and supplied zip-tie. If using the pole mount skip to step 5b for mounting instructions. a. Wall Mount: Position the wiADVISOR Access Point wall mount 7–9 ft. above the floor. Verify that the oval screw hole is on the bottom. (Refer to picture at right.) Mark screw holes and secure to wall with appropriate fasteners. IMPORTANT! Use a level to ensure the wall mount is straight up and down from floor to ceiling. Making a mistake here could mean wasted time repositioning the bracket assembly. Oval hole on bottom b. Pole Mount: There is a built-in pole mount on the back of the wiADVISOR Access Point. 1. Position the wiADVISOR Access Point 7–9 ft. above the floor on a vertical & level pole. 2. Feed the supplied 12” zip-tie through the slotted hole and secure to pole (refer to picture at right). 6. Slide bottom cover off of the wiADVISOR Access Point. Connect Ethernet cable (less than 328 ft. in length) to the RJ45 connector. Verify that the cable is secured in the connector and slide the cover back on. IMPORTANT! Some molded cables with snag-less boots are too big for the compartment and will interfere with a proper connection. The cable boot must not exceed 1 ¼”. Correct Incorrect 7. Wall mount only: Slide the wiADVISOR Access Point onto the wall mount in a downward motion and lock in place. Version 2.1 5/12/15 Page 2 of 4 Revision Date: Proceed With the Following Steps to Connect Your Equipment: Port 0/0 1.
