Intro 1919 until today – 90 years of WIBRE
Anniversary
This year, our company is celebrating its 90 years of existence. In 1919, Wilhelm Breuninger founded the company in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In the first few years, the company manufactured high-quality household devices for daily use, such as immersion heaters, water cookers, hairdryers and soldering irons. Gradually, it developed other fields of activity in the electronics area, including instrument panels for ships, electrical equipment and the development and production of voltage testers and measuring devices. In the fifties, WIBRE specialised more and more in lighting technology, and so the company shipped its first fountain spotlights in this decade. Our factory also shipped spotlights for ship-window lighting. At the same time, WIBRE moved to Baden-Württemberg. The move and the start in lighting technology laid the cornerstone for the following years until today. Since then, our product range has expanded greatly. The company added swimming pool spotlights, ground installation spotlights and many more. Today we offer you the complete range of illumination equipment with the best and latest technology, both above and below water. We now have more than 50 employees in Leingarten, BadenWürttemberg, and many representatives worldwide. And so our spotlights shine not just in Germany, but on all continents in the world. For 90 years we have stood for abiding quality and the latest technology from Germany, and we will do that in coming years as well, with new innovations, proven technology and lots of light. 1919 to 2009!

The first WIBRE fountain spotlights were manufactured in the fifties. It started in the 20s with household devices.

Extension of the linear installation spotlight
Now also in IP68 class
We have long had linear ground-installation spotlights for object lighting and orientation lighting in our programme. Now the attractive lights are also available in underwater versions. In proven quality, of course! The spotlight is made completely of V4A stainless steel and has protection class IP68. There is the right installation housing for every type of pool. First, the spotlight is available in a 60-cm-long version for installation in the soil or in the wall. The linear underwater spotlight is equipped with the latest POW-LEDs, single colour or changing colours. You will find further information on the detailed data sheet. Ask for it now by e-mail (

Cold, neutral or warm white
Our new POW-LED products are now available in different color temperatures. Each color temperature has its own characteristic, application range and power similar to color temperatures of fluorescent and discharge lamps. The choice of the color temperature is often depending on the work task along with its’ specific norms, but is also relying on the personal taste, national customs, the specific ambiance and the subjective sensation of light. Cold white: highest light output with 150 TLF Lumen per LED at 700 mA, light effect cold bluish white, application along with white-bluish colors in e.g. swimming pools, underwater areas, and in working place light fixtures with specific norms. Neutral white: light output with 130 TLF Lumen per LED at 700 mA, light effect neutral white, application along with white grayish colors outdoors, on facades, buildings and shops. Warmwhite: light output with 110 TLF Lumen per LED at 700 mA, light effect warm yellowish white, application along with brown, yellow colors inside living areas, on facades and buildings.
The powerful single-chip LED, which is currently available, is being used in our new products and also adapted for existing spotlights. The special feature is its performance: TFL150 lumens per LED at 700 mA in the light colour cold white! And so it is a alternative to halogen lights. The following variants are available: › cold white 6000K (150 lm/LED at 700 mA) › neutral white 4500K (120 lm/LED at 700 mA) › warm white 3000K (100 lm/LED at 700 mA) Single colour in green, red, amber, turquoise on request. For detailed information about the light colours, see the left box.
This newly developed LED will soon also be available for our fountain and ground-installation spotlights with POW-LED 36 x 1 W. And so these spotlights are even more powerful and effective.
