2014/15 Summer Competition We would like to provide you with the following important dates and information regarding the 2014/15 Wingham Services Club Summer Touch Competitions.
2014/15 Summer Touch Competitions Mixed, Men’s and Junior Touch Competition will be played on Friday nights.
Important Dates Nominations Due:

10 October 2014 – 20 March 2015
Grand Finals & Presentation:
20 March 2015 @ Wingham Touch Clubhouse after Grand Finals
Registration Fees Adults:
$60 per player
Juniors:
$50 per player (17 years and under - born in 1997 or after)
Junior Competition:
$20 per player
Rego Payment:
MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO ROUND 2
Registration Methods All team registrations, as well as individual registration must be made online. Payment is compulsory at the time you register online. No cash payments for registration will be taken.

Competition Conditions of Entry Team Nominations
Nominations due Friday 3 October 2014. Please go to ‘winghamtouch.com.au’ to register your team. Late entries will be accepted at the convenience of the competition (i.e. to replace a bye or a team withdrawal). All teams are to have a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 14 players. Teams must have a minimum 8 players registered by Round 2, otherwise your team will not be registered and will not be allowed to play in Round 3 It is important that you share this information with the individuals in your team.
Player Registration
Only players who have registered AND paid registration fees will be listed on the team sheet. ALL PLAYER REGISTRATIONS MUST BE PAID BY ROUND 2. Participants will not be able to play under any circumstances after Round 2 if they are not fully registered. If you wish to nominate a new player after the start of the competition, they must be approved by the Wingham Touch Committee If any team is found to have played un-registered players, the team will be penalised 3 competition points per game that each unregistered player has participated in.
Registration Fees
The registration fee for all players participating in the 2014/15 Summer Touch Competition is $60 per adult or $50 per child (17 & under). ($10 per player is allocated to Wingham Sporting Complex User Pay System) Teams must have at least 8 paid registered players by the completion of R2, otherwise your team will not be registered with NSW Touch. Team registration fees are non-refundable.
Duty Referees
All teams are required to nominate two (2) referees who must be available to referee throughout the competition. Teams may nominate a non-playing referee as their duty referee. Referees can only be nominated by one team only. If a nominated referee fails to satisfy their refereeing requirements, the committee reserves the right to deduct competition points from their nominated team. Junior Referees - if required junior referees can be assisted by an experienced referee so they can gain confidence and an understanding of the rules.
Playing Rules
Wingham Touch Association conducts its playing rules as per the Australian Touch Association – 7th Edition rule book. This is available for viewing on winghamtouch.com.au

Team Grades
Team grades will be determined by the Wingham Touch Association Committee. The Committee reserves the right to promote and relegate teams to another division after the competition commences.
Team Sign-On Sheets
All players must sign the team playing sheet. Any teams or individuals caught forging signatures will be penalised at Committees discretion Referees are the only persons permitted to write on the team sign-on sheet sheet Both team captains and referees must sign the team sign-on sheet at the completion of the game to verify that the score is correct. If a player does not sign the Team Sign-On sheet, and is injured during the course of the game, the player may not be covered by insurance. Players must play a minimum of 5 games to qualify for the finals
Game Duration
Games will, depending on the amount of fields with lighting available, consist of either; 2 x 20 minute halves (40 mins) OR 30 minutes straight (i.e. no half time). Wingham Touch will endeavour to play the 2 x 20mins format wherever possible.
Game Starting Times
All games will start at the nominated time. (e.g. 6.00pm, 6.45pm, 7.30pm) Referees are required to be on the field prior to the start of the game.
Grounds
Games will be played at the Wingham Sporting Complex, Coglan Avenue Wingham
Uniforms
All teams are required to be in uniform by the commencement of Round 4. Team uniforms must be of the same colour and design. Numbers (1-14) must be placed on the back of the shirt (min 16cm) or on both sleeves (min 8cm). No taped or hand written numbers will be accepted. All jewellery should be removed or taped prior to playing. Long or sharp fingernails are to be trimmed or taped. Players are not allowed to play barefoot. Shoes must be worn at all times.
Age Restrictions
The minimum age requirement for players in the Mixed Competition is 10 years The minimum age requirement for players in the Men’s Competition is 12 years. The Junior Competition is for boys and girls, 6-10 years Players must produce a birth certificate if required to verify age. Any team found playing under age players will lose competition points as decided by the committee.

Mixed Competition Guidelines
The mixed competition will comprise of 6 players per team (six a-side) for A and A-Reserve Grades and 7 players per team (seven a-side) for B and C Grades In Mixed A and A-Reserve Grade competitions, the maximum number of males allowed on the field of play is three (3). The minimum male requirement on the field of play is one (1). In Mixed B and C Grade competitions, the maximum number of males allowed on the field of play is four (4). The minimum male requirement on the field of play is one (1). All male players in the mixed competition can only score 1 try per game (including drop-off)
Men’s Competition Guidelines
The men’s competition will comprise of 6 players per team (six a-side)
Junior Competition Guidelines
The Junior Competition is for boys and girls aged 6 – 10 years. Mixed competitions only The Junior Competition will be played on Friday evenings from 6.00pm

Forfeits
If a team is unable to have the minimum requirement of (seven a-side 5 players on the field) (six aside-4 players on field) after 5 minutes from the start of the game, a forfeit will be declared. Teams that forfeits and provide at least 24hrs notice will receive 0 competition points and a 0-5 touchdown result. Teams that forfeits and provide at less than 24hrs notice will receive -2 competition points and a 0-5 touchdown result. Teams that win by forfeit will receive 3 competition points and a 5-0 touchdown result. Teams forfeiting 3 times during the competition rounds will not be eligible for the semi-finals
Send Offs
Players that are SENT OFF for the duration of the game will receive an automatic 2 week suspension. Players who are sent off for a PERIOD OF TIME are required to stand behind their own score line until directed by the referee to return to the field of play. The player must remain in a nonparticipating role for that PERIOD OF TIME or risk being SENT OFF for a longer period of time. Any player sent off must referee 2 games during their automatic suspension, before they will be allowed to participate any further in the competition.

Judiciary
Players sent off may be referred to the Judiciary Chairman for possible further action. Should you be required to attend a judicial hearing, as a player or witness, you will be advised in writing and expected to attend. Wingham Touch Association reserves the right to continue to conduct a Judicial Hearing in the absence of the offending player.

Semi-Final Series In the event of a draw at full-time in the semi-finals or grand finals, the Drop Off procedure will be utilised to establish a single winner as per Touch Australia Playing Rules - 7th Edition.
Mixed Drop-Offs - If a game is to be determined by a drop-off, then all male players that have previously scored during the game, CANNOT score any further tries during the drop-off. If a team cannot play on the nominated date & time during the semi-final series, then that team may request to play the game at a mutually convenient date and time. However, if the opposition cannot OR will not reschedule, than the opposition will be awarded the game.
Wet Weather
All wet weather cancellations will be placed on our website www.winghamtouch.com.au . Local radio stations 2RE and MAX FM will also announce details regarding wet weather cancellations.

Insurance
All registered players are insured with Touch Football Australia’s ‘Sportscover’ Insurance scheme. The Touch Football Australia ‘Sportscover’ Insurance scheme is limited and we recommend that players should have their own personal insurance and health insurance. The Sportscover Insurance Scheme is for Personal Accident Insurance only and does not cover loss of wages.
Sportscover Claims Procedure

[email protected] / phone 1300 134 956 Sportscover will lodge your claim online and send you links and additional requirements by email or by post. When treatment is complete please forward all Accounts to Sportscover, and keep your own copies.

Alcohol Policy – NO BYO ALCOHOL Wingham Touch Association holds a current liquor licence to sell alcohol at the Wingham Touch Canteen. To satisfy the Casino, Liquor Gaming Control Authority’s liquor licence conditions, NO BYO ALCOHOL is permitted to be bought onto the premises or grounds that Wingham Touch Association use. Disciplinary action will be taken by the Wingham Touch Committee if any persons, including both players and supporters, are found to have bought their own alcohol into Wingham Touch grounds. The Committee reserves the right to suspend players and prohibit persons from attending any further Wingham Touch games and functions.
Tournament Control
If any matters arise during the course of the competition that are not addressed in the ‘Competitions – Conditions of Entry’, Wingham Touch Association reserves the right to adjudicate on these matters as seen in the best interests of the competition.
