Corning ONE™ Wireless Platform
The Corning ONE™ Wireless Platform is the first all-optical converged solution that unifies cellular, Wi-Fi and Ethernet backhaul. Fiber-to-the-edge technology allows for virtually unlimited bandwidth to support the growing demands of wireless users. The optical fiber infrastructure is easily deployed via a wide range of preterminated composite cables and supports a variety of advanced end-toend equipment. Easy to design, Plug & Play™ assemblies significantly reduce installation cost and deployment time. Optional Gigabit Ethernet support enables off-load, expansion, and best use of Wi-Fi resources while the integrated antenna provides flexibility for ease and cost-effective MIMO upgrades. Corning ONE™ Equipment Headend Unit (HEU)
The headend unit (HEU) conditions the incoming radio frequency (RF) downlink (DL) signals from an operator’s signal source. The HEU then custom tunes the signals to ensure a consistent level of RF before signals are passed to/from the optical interface unit (OIU). A single HEU supports up to 12 radio interface modules (RIMs) and up to three sectors. This solution is a field-upgradable modular unit and can be expanded to support up to four HEUs and up to 48 RIMs.
Optical Interface Unit (OIU)
The optical interface unit converts RF downlink (DL) signals received from the HEU into an optical signal. This optical signal is then transported over single-mode optical fiber cabling through the interconnect unit (ICU) to the remote access unit (RAU), which is located at the edge of the network. A single OIU supports up to 12 optical interface modules (OIMs). A single OIM supports up to three remote access units (RAUs) for a total of 36 remote access units per OIU with the ability to scale to four OIUs; supporting 144 RAUs with a state-of-the-art sectorization feature to support up to three sectors through software. Leveraging the 1:1 optical capabilities of the Corning ONE™ Wireless Platform allows for greater visibility, support, and integration to future applications such as spectrum monitoring and LBS solutions.

Corning ONE™ Equipment Fiber Management Unit (FMU)
Pretium EDGE® HD solutions are high-density preterminated optical cabling solutions offering industry-leading connector density. With unprecedented finger access, there is no need for additional tools enabling faster moves, adds, and changes (MACs). The Pretium EDGE Solutions housing contains sliding trays that can accommodate as many as four 12-fiber modules per tray, resulting in improved finger access to connectors and allowing for individual access without compromising the optical connectivity of other ports. Front jumper management guides on each tray allow for jumpers to be routed to the left or right. External jumper routing guides facilitate proper slack management to ensure drawer movement. Industry-leading port labeling is available on the rear side of the housing's front door, and each housing includes mounting plug receptacle areas at the rear, which enable fast and easy installation and strain-relief of Pretium EDGE Solutions trunk cables. Brush cable entries make trunk entry quick and easy.
Central Ethernet Unit (CEU)
The central Ethernet unit provides centralized media conversion from Ethernet to fiber. It unifies Ethernet and cellular over single media and enables Ethernet backhaul and POE+. The CEU houses up to three centralized Ethernet modules (CEMs) supporting four Ethernet ports per module.
Interconnect Unit (ICU)
The interconnect unit injects power from a central location into a composite cable to power the remote access units (RAU) located throughout the building. Centralizing the power supply significantly reduces IDF rack space requirements and eases maintenance. The ICU supports up to eight RAUs or in an Ethernet-enabled solution; four RAUs plus four Gigabit Ethernet modules (GEMs) can be supported from a single ICU.

Corning ONE™ Wireless Platform Equipment Remote Access Unit (RAU)
The remote access unit supports four cellular services (CELL/PCS/700 LTE/AWS) and can expand via a remote expansion unit (RxU) to support two additional bands or MIMO services in a single unit. The RAU has built-in MIMO capabilities and modular support for a Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ upgrade.

Corning ONE™ Wireless Platform Standard Cable Assemblies Corning ONE™ Wireless Platform plug-and-play (PnP) architecture within the riser trunk leverages MTP® connectors for rapid deployment and eliminates the need for field splicing. Preterminated MTP fiber cable assemblies are available in 12-, 24-, 48-, 72-, 96, and 144-fiber bundles. Corning ActiFi™ cables provide the ultimate solution for indoor remote powering of distributed antenna systems within the horizontal. The tethered cabling designs use 4-, 6-, or 12-fiber cables with four, six, or 12 copper conductors. The necessary gauge of wire (12, 14, 16, or 20 AWG) required to power the active remote equipment is determined by the cable distance and tensile strength of the cable. Corning’s preterminated PnP cabling provides a time and cost-saving solution for distributed antenna systems (DAS) installations where fiber is being leveraged within both the vertical riser and horizontal. By integrating copper and fiber in one cable, ActiFi cables eliminate the need to install separate power and fiber cables. This saves installation time, labor costs, and duct or tray space. The compact and versatile design is available in riser or interlocking armored riser for additional protection where conduit may not be feasible. MobileAccess1000/2000 Platform Overview The MobileAccess2000 (MA2000) platform provides indoor coverage for a wide range of cellular services over a single, broadband architecture. It uses a combination of fiber optic cabling and coax to deliver radio frequency signals inside buildings and/or throughout multiple buildings across campuses. The platform includes MobileAccess1000 single-carrier solutions as well. The platform includes a common headend composed of three components as well as a variety of low-, medium-, and high-power remote amplifiers to meet varying indoor and outdoor wireless requirements. Headend Equipment
The headend equipment receives the signals and conditions them for distribution throughout your building. A typical order will include four pieces of Corning wireless headend equipment. These include:
• SC-450 – The SC-450 system controller enables centralized remote management and control of all MobileAccess1000/2000 elements.
•
• RIU Conditioners – Available for either a BTS or BDA connection. A single conditioner is needed per service. It is a module that slides into the RIU.
•
Base Units – The base unit (BU) converts RF downlink (DL) signals received from the RIU into an optical signal. This optical signal is then transported over single-mode or multimode fiber optic cabling to/from the remote units, which are housed within IDF/telco/IT closets at the remote end locations, for distribution throughout the facility. Uplink (UL) signals from subscribers’ phones are received from the antennas and sent back to the remote units through the fiber connection to the headend, where they are converted back from RF optical to RF electrical before being passed on to the RIU. Base units are available in 4- and 8-port configurations and support 2 GHz of bandwidth for up to 2 km (1.242 miles) over single-mode fiber.

FT-350 – The FT-350 system extends services using multimode, single-mode or wavelength division multiplexing (WDM), and low- loss fiber cabling, transporting RF from a single BTS source to multiple remote locations in a 16 km radius.
Radio Interface Unit (RIU) – The RIU conditions the radio frequency (RF) downlink (DL) signals from an operator’s signal source base transceiver station (BTS) or bidirectional amplifier (BDA) located inside the building. The RIU then custom tunes incoming signals to ensure a constant level of RF before signals are passed to/from the base unit. The RIU is available in three versions: RIU-IM (supports up to three services), RIU-4 (supports up to four services), and the RIU- 12 (supports up to 12 services).
