Designed as the ultimate solution to free-up premium floor space, Wisdom Audio will demonstrate the new Neo Series in-wall speakers and the NS-TNT in-wall subwoofer during the CES show. “The Neo Series was created with the discriminating audiophile in mind,” explained Tom Bohlender, Wisdom Audio president and CEO. “We recognized a huge gap between the performance of the best in-walls and the high-end experience we would want for our own systems. The Neo Series in-walls redefine the state-of-the-art for the category and successfully transition the high-end audio experience from in-room to inwall. Utilizing Wisdom’s planar technology and innovative TNT-17 woofer transducer, the Neo Series will revolutionize the stereotype of the in-wall speaker’s sound and design by combining unmatched technologies with the highest quality aesthetics.” Based on the technology of Wisdom’s critically acclaimed Adrenaline and Infinite Series, as well as the new Neo Series NS-27 freestanding model, the Neo in-wall series is the perfect audio speaker solution for music and film systems with limited space. 2 magnets throughout the planar magnetic drivers and the use of the exotic TNT-17 woofer transducer allowed for state-of-the-art performance while reducing size of the new systems. Unlimited frequency control for any room or environment as well as bi-amplification capability is provided via an external electronic digital crossover/equalizer. Simplicity or audiophile flexibility is available at your fingertips. Care has been taken in the design of the Neo Series to ensure that they perform consistently in varied acoustic-wall environments and are easily installed. All models are designed as sealed systems, minimizing complications arising from an uncontrolled and unpredictable rear wave environment. Unlike typical in-wall systems that unpredictably interact with their mounting wall, Neo Series models utilize sealed cabinets fabricated from high-mass aluminum extrusions, providing a low resonance enclosure that allows optimum transducer behavior in every mounting environment. “Like all Wisdom speakers, the Neo Series in-walls have been engineered from the ground up, using proprietary components conceived, designed and built by Wisdom Audio — including the Neo planar driver and the TNT-17 woofer,” Bohlender continued. “Thanks to the neodymium (rare-earth) magnet structures, these speakers deliver the superior sonic integrity that is a hallmark of our thin-filmed planars while achieving output levels in excess of 110 dB. The TNT-17 is an amazing transducer, capable of prodigious bass performance at high output levels in a very small profile enclosure. We based our design criteria on the wide availability of high-power amplifiers likely to be used in a high-end system and utilize power to achieve an extended and impressive low frequency response. The TNT 4”x17” bass driver sets a new standard for performance. The NS-35i uses 3-inch and 8-inch planar drivers with the TNT 4”x17” bass driver. The 8-inch planar mid-driver delivers rich articulate vocals and instrumentals.
