Connect USB HUB Receiver to computer with provided cable. The small connector is to connect to the USB Receiver HUB. Turn on the WIT Slate by pressing the Power Button until the blue LED turns on, it will blink while not in sync. Press the Sync button on the Receiver, the blue LED will blink. While Receiver LED is blinking, press the Sync button on the back of the WIT Slate under the dongle cover to connect. When connection made, both blue LEDs on the Slate and the Receiver will stop blinking and turn solid. Once synced, The RF connectivity icon will appear on LCD panel. During wireless operation, the Pen Activity icon will appear on the LCD panel when the Pen is being used.

Left Click ‐ pressing the pen tip to the slate is equal to a left click. Right Click ‐ pressing the lower toggle is equal to a right click. Double Click ‐ tapping the pen tip twice is equal to a double click. Scroll ‐ to scroll on a page, press and hold the upper toggle switch, then move the pen to scroll. 12. Pen Laser ‐ to use the laser pointer, press and hold the laser button.

Up Button ‐ Pressing the Up Button is equal to the up arrow on your keyboard. 16. Down Button ‐ Pressing the Down Button is equal to the down arrow on your keyboard. 17. Power Indicator – The icon appears when the power is turned on. 18. Wireless Connectivity Indicator – The icon appears when communication between the slate and hub receiver is normal 19. Pen Activity Indicator – The icon appears when pen is detected 20. Battery Indicator a. Battery indicator is divided into 4 bars, each indicating 25% of power. b. During charging, the Battery icon will flash to indicate charge in progress. c. Solid Battery icon indicates battery is fully charged. d. Flashing outer Border signals a low power warning. e. Flashing Pen icon indicates pen battery is charging. f. Solid Pen icon indicates pen battery is fully charged. 21. The pen needs to be operated within approximately 1 cm (1/8 inch) to the slate writing area to function properly. When you move the pen on the writing area without or lightly touching the surface, the cursor on your screen will move according to the pen movements. 22. Writing a. Press the pen tip to the slate and write normally as you would write with a ball point pen.

Once the software is installed you will see this Icon for the annotation software. Double click to open. The task bar will appear.
Ù The Start icon starts the Annotation Mode allowing users to write. Ù The Stop icon stops the Annotation Mode, bringing back normal mouse functions to your pen. Ù The Minimize icon hides the Annotation Tool. Ù The Black/White Board icons open the independent functions. These works spaces are automatically saved. Ù Select the Pencil icon to write. Lines will be opaque.
Ù Select the Highlighter icon to write using transparent lines. Ù Clicking on the Eraser icon, you will be prompted with a choice to clear annotations. Ù If you choose "Yes" the current screen, the Black/White Board will be cleared. Ù If you choose "No" you can begin to erase. Ù The Save icon allows you to capture any displayed screen to the WS‐Screenshots folder. A Camera will appear to indicate the screen has been saved. This feature will only work when the Annotation Mode is active. The Black/White Board can also be captured.
These sections allow you to choose the pen tip Thickness and the Color for pen or highlighter.
To access the virtual keyboard at any time, move the pen tip to the bottom right corner (within 3 cm from the corner) of the WIT Slate writing area. To hide the Virtual Keyboard, simply move the pen away from the keyboard area.

Here are the preset HotKeys: K1 = Note Pad K2 = Paint K3 = Calculator K4 = Internet Explorer K12 = Annotation Tool Bar To Program a Hotkey: 1. Right click on the system tray icon and select Hotkey Settings to bring up the HotKey Settings Page. 2. Left Click the HotKey you wish to reprogram under the Key Name column. 3. Click Browse to select the program you wish to hotkey. 4. Enter a Name in the Friendly Name field. 5. Press Update to store the changes. 6. Press OK to exit
