Prompt: • The default setting of the Tri-Fi is Power Bank state . At this point the CPU does not work in order to save power. Battery Indicator Light • Indicator light is always blue when the battery is between 80% ~100%. • Indicator light is always blue and red when the battery is between 40% ~80%. • Indicator light is always red when the battery is between 10% ~40%. • Indicator light is flashing red when the battery is between 0% ~10%. Charge Indicator Light • Indicator light is always blue when charging. • Indicator light is switched off when charge is complete. Data Indicator Light • Indicator light is flashing blue during power up or when not connected to a network. • Indicator light is always blue when connected to a network. Please note: The state of SD card, LAN , 3G and Power Bank is switched by pressing the Select Button. 03 Installing the SIM card and Micro SD card: According to the below graphic demo, insert the SIM card (fig.1) and Micro SD card (fig.2) into the corresponding card slot. Please note: Do not plug or unplug the SIM card and Micro SD card when the device is working to avoid data loss. Turn ON/OFF: • Turn on: Turn the power switch to ‘ON’. • Turn off: Turn the power switch to ‘OFF’. Please note: The default state is the Power Bank state. When a Network Cable is inserted, it will automatically switch to the LAN state. Power Bank: Turn on the Tri-Fi, select Power Bank state if not selected by default. Connect the device to be charged via USB cable. Please note: In the state of SD card, LAN or 3G, Tri-Fi can also charge other devices at a slower capacity. 04 Access the Internet through WiFi: Step one: Switch on the Tri-Fi and select 3G state. Step two: Establish a WiFi connection (Connect Computer for example). 1. Choose Start=>Control panel=>Network Connections=>Wireless Network connection. Please note: Before establishing a WiFi connection, you must ensure that the computer is equipped with a wireless card. If the computer indicates the existence of wireless networks, then the wireless card can be used. Otherwise, you need check whether the wireless card can work. 2. Click to check the available wireless networks, this will show the list of network connections. 3. Select the Tri-Fi SSID from the wireless networks lists and click ‘Connect’. Please note: If the wireless network connection has opened a safe matching, you will need to input a correct network password. • SSID and password are printed on the label of Tri-Fi. Wait until the wireless network connection icon appears on the bottom right of the computer screen. The connection is then successful. Step three: Access to the internet. When the connection between user device and Tri-Fi is established, internet will be available immediately. 05 Login management page: 1. Confirm the connection of Tri-Fi with WiFi is established. 2. Open the browser, enter ‘http://192.168.43.1’ in the address field or just enter ‘192.168.43.1’. 3. Input username and password, then click ‘OK’. Please note: The default username and password are ‘admin’. Click ‘Settings’ to enter the Settings page. Click ‘Storage’ to enter the memory storage page (this button can be selected after Tri-Fi is switched to SD card state. Tri-Fi has to be connected via LAN to access ‘Storage’ option). Memory Storage: 1. Turn on the Tri-Fi. 2. Switch the Tri-Fi to the state of SD card. After Wifi connection is established via LAN, login using the admin page. Click ‘Storage’ to access memory storage. Please note: Multiple clients can browse the contents on the SD card at the same time. If you need to modify the contents, please refer to the ‘Storage management’ section. Modify the SSID and Password Key: 1. Choose Basic => Wizard. 2. Enter the SSID and Password Key that you need. 3. Click ‘Apply’. 06 Turn 3G to WiFi: 1. Insert SIM card. 2. Turn on the Tri-Fi. 3. Switch to the state of 3G. Manually configure APN: 1. Choose Basic =>WAN. 2. Select 3G as Connection Type. 3. Select Configuration as Manual Config. 4. Enter Dial Number and APN (APN settings may vary). 5. Click ‘Apply’. Please note: WorldSIM APN settings are preinstalled. Turn Wired Network to WiFi: 1. Turn on the Tri-Fi. 2. Insert the network cable (automatically switches to LAN). When the data indicator light is blue, you can access the internet. Connection procedure above. 07 Static IP: 1. Choose Basic => Wizard. 2. Select Static IP as Connection Type. 3. Enter IP, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. 4. Click ‘Apply’. Please note: Static IP, DHCP, PPPoE should ensure that the state has switched to LAN and the system mode must be in gateway mode. DHCP: 1. Choose Basic =>WAN. 2. Select DHCP as Connection type. 3. Click ‘Apply’. PPPoE: 1. Choose Basic => Wizard. 2. Select PPPoE as Connection Type. 3. Enter User Name and Password. 4. Click ‘Apply’. 08 Please note: If in the state of LAN and you still can’t access the Internet, please select the correct Connection Type according to the actual requirement. Turn 3G to LAN: 1. Choose Advanced => Route => SYS MODE. 2. Select the AP client mode. 3. Click ‘Apply’. 4. Connect the Tri-Fi and computer using a network cable. 5. Switch to the state of 3G. Turn Wireless Network to WiFi: 1. Choose Advanced => Route => SYS MODE. 2. Select the AP client mode. 3. Click ‘Apply’. 4. Search the AP and enter the Password. 5. Click ‘Apply’. Please note: The Tri-Fi can act as a wireless repeater. To turn wireless network to WiFi, please ensure that the state has switched to the LAN and without the network cable before setting. 09 Wireless Macfilter: 1. Choose Basic => Wireless => Wireless Macfilter. 2. Choose the required Authentication Mode. 3. Fill in the MAC address (According to the wireless MAC list). 4. Click ‘Apply’. Please note: • Deny listed: Addresses in this list won’t have access to the Tri-Fi. • Allow listed: Addresses in this list can connect to the Tri-Fi. Storage Management: 1. Switch to the state of SD card. 2. Choose Advanced => Storage => Samba Setting. 3. Check whether Samba function is enabled, if not please choose “Enable”. 4. Click ‘Apply’. 5. Select ‘Run’ command in the start menu. Then enter ‘\\192.168.43.1’. 10 Modify the Login Password: 1. Choose Maintain => SYS Config => Admin Setting. 2. Enter User Name and Password. 3. Click ‘Apply’. Android Devices/Panel Access for SD storage via WiFi: 1. Switch to the state of SD card. 2. Open the ES file explorer , Click ‘LAN’ menu, then ‘New’ and then ‘Server’ and input position. The IP address of the router is ‘192.168.43.1’. Enter User Name and Password (both of them are ‘admin’ by default). 3. After settings are complete, IP Address ‘192.168.43.1’ can be found in the share list. Click IP and select ‘Home’. You can now access SD storage (examples showed on following page). 11 Please note: Ensure your android device is installed with the ‘ES file browser’ app. If you can not access the SD card, check the Samba function is enabled. Charge the Tri-Fi: If the battery has not been used for a long time, please charge it to saturation state before use. • The charge indicator light is always blue when Tri-Fi is charging. • The charge indicator lights go out when charge is complete. 12 Restore Factory settings: If you forget the modified SSID and password, please use the following methods to restore WiFi default values: • Long press the RESET button for 3 seconds. The Tri-Fi will restart in a few seconds. • After restart, the SSID and password will be the default factory settings value as printed on the Tri-Fi. Multi-Device access: The Tri-Fi device allows up to 10 devices to be connected at the same time. You will need to follow the relevant connection methods highlighted on page 5 of this user guide. 13 Troubleshooting: 1. If you forget the login password and can not enter Tri-Fi configuration page: Press ‘RESET’ button for 3 seconds, device will be restored to factory settings. 2. The IP address conflict after Tri-Fi connection: Please ensure the same IP devices are not in the LAN. 3. After changing the security type (such as from WPA-PSK to WPA2-PSK ), computer with WINDOWS 7 system can not connect to Tri-Fi: Please select the correct type of security in the Wireless Network properties. 4. If in 3G state, Tri-Fi is connected but can not access the internet: After switching to 3G state, check whether Data Indicator Light is flashing. • If yes, please check 3G state in Tri-Fi setting page. If dialing fails after refreshing many times, make sure that the SIM card can be used normally or switch to 3G state again. • If not, please contact us using the details on page 16. 5. If in LAN state, Tri-Fi is connected but can not access the internet: After switching to LAN state, check whether Data Indicator Light is flashing: • If yes, please check whether the network cable access to Tri-Fi is normal and choose DHCP or PPPoE Connection Type according to your requirements. • If not, make sure that the device is only connected to the Tri-Fi. 14 Tips: If the Tri-Fi does not work, try the following methods: • Restart the Tri-Fi. • Restore to Factory Settings. • If Battery power is low, please fully charge then turn on. • Contact our support team. 15 Topping-Up your WorldSIM: To top-up your WorldSIM, visit our website www.worldsim.com and click on Top-Up.
