GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS Description
Expansion device
The WPHZ/WPHBZ series are self-contained horizontal units equipped with a water-cooled plate heat exchanger, suitable for the connection to a network of air distribution ducts. These units are produced in a compact configuration. These are delivered fully finished after having been verified, and ready for a fast installation on site (ducts system union, power supply connection, and control system connection). The units are delivered with the operative charge of 407C refrigerant.
Calibrated orifice (restrictor) is used in models 201 to 401, and an expansion valve in the restant models. On heat pump units, outdoor side uses "restrictor".
The components design and layout offers great installation versatility and easy access to the interior of the unit for maintenance.
Cabinet Made of high quality galvanized steel plate, finished with electrostatically applied and oven polymerized polyester powder. The assembly is internally thermo-acoustically insulated.
Refrigerant circuit Made of refrigerant grade copper tubing, perfectly cleansed and dehydrated, it incorporates Schrader Valves for easy access, vacuum process, refrigerant charging and maintenance. Brazing is made in inert atmosphere with silver alloy soldering. Heat pumps include liquid receiver, four-way valve Solenoid operated and check valves.
Air filter Made of washable and self-extinguishable polyurethane foam with 10mm of thickness, efficiency G2 (EU2), class M1.
Control It includes contactors for compressors and fan motors. Unit is monitored by a PC board controlling all the functions. Control system is a wired wall-mounted controller featuring the usual functions: ventilation, cooling or heating in one-two stages, etc.

Power supply WPHBZ 091-251 230.I.50 Hz~ WPHBZ 351 230.I.50 Hz~ / 400.III+N.50 Hz~ WPHBZ 401-1201 400.III+N.50 Hz~ 30V.III.50Hz~ upon request.
Compressors Compressors are rotary (mod. 091 to 351), scroll (mod. 401 to 751) or reciprocating (mod. 1001 and 1201). The compressors are mounted on the unit base by means of vibration absorbers and they include oil charge, inherent internal protection and crankcase heater.
Evaporator coil Made of aluminium fins and high-performance exchange 3/8” copper tubing mechanically expanded.
Heat exchanger It is a brazed steel plate heat exchanger, water cooled (refrigerant / water heat exchanger). For applications with "Drycooler".
Fans Fans are centrifugal, with double suction system. These are direct-driven through incorporated motor or through external motor and transmission through pulleys and belt. Low sound level fans are equipped with prelubricated bearings and are statically and dynamically balanced.

ACCESSORIES Thermostat The wall-mounted control has a LCD display and a weekly programable timer. It’s builded with a back-up memory, in case of power supply cut. This control allows the following functions:

Electric resistances heating coils Models from 091 to 1201 One step coils with nickel-chromium electric resistances, beared by a steatite access port. The coils are mounted in a zinc plated steel frame with bi-chromate processing, and with a protective thermostat.It includes a switch and a connection terminal strip, the whole mounted in a prefectly isolated plenum. The electric coil will be mounted inside the unit in case of direct discharge through impulsion plenum.
