FVT/FVRHDMI HDMI single mode fiber optic link with HDCP / EDID V A D IrDa 1 stereo 1 1 Description The ComNet FVHDMI accepts an audio-video stream from an HMDI Applications source and serializes the data to pass it over a single 3.125 Gbps optical - Medical and MRI Displays link (for resolutions up to 1080i/60 or 720p/60). Two optical paths are employed to support 1080p/60 and UXGA formats. At the receiving end the HDMI stream is reconstituted with a precisely regenerated clock. All - Advertising and Signage - Event Video Displays control signals are passed downstream via the main data channel, and - Digital Cinema the return channel completes necessary transmissions and handshakes. - Radar Displays for ATC and Military Applications The minimum required for HDMI system operation is passing the - Commodity and Stock Exchanges EDID upstream to inform the source of the capabilities of the sink, and processing the encryption key handshakes and sink authentication required by HDCP (when protected content transmission is required). The FVHDMI does not process the HDMI stream, other than to serialize and deserialize it. As a result, the HDCP encryption (if present) is not Features – Supports up to 1080p affected. One thing the FVHDMI does process is the EDID data from the sink. The capabilities reported by the display are analyzed and the greatest common capability (of the cable and the sink) is presented to the source. For example, if the sink is capable of processing 1080p/60, – Bi-directional communication for full HDCP copyright and EDID functionality – HDCP encoding remains intact and unmodified but this implementation uses only one downstream channel, then the EDID is edited to report that 1080i/60, 1080p/30, and 720p/60 are the - Fully un-compressed, 100% transparent, no frame dropping highest resolutions and data rates supported. In that way, the source/ cable/sink system will always produce the highest quality image of – HDCP encoding remains intact and unmodified. which it is capable. The system is designed to start up and operate with – Fully uncompressed, 100% transparent, No Frame Dropping one downstream and one upstream fiber link. If a second downstream fiber link is present, it will automatically be used if the source and sink both can handle the higher data rates. If the second downstream fiber link is in use and it is disrupted (unplugged or cut), the system will fall back to the lower-bandwidth operation and signal the reduced capability - Mounting Options: • Fits standard ComNet model C1 rack • 1 RU racking system available - Power Supply Included to the HDMI source. It can also transfer RS232 (up to 115kbps) and infrared control. - Locking HDMI connector – Lifetime Warranty WWW.COMNET.NET TECH SUPPORT: 1.888.678.9427 FVT/FVRHDMI HDMI single mode fiber optic link with HDCP / EDID specifications SUPPORTED VIDEO MODES Number of Fibers VIC Formats Field Rate Picture Aspect Ratio 1 2 1 640x480p 59.94Hz/60Hz 4:3 YES YES 2 720x480p 59.94Hz/60Hz 4:3 YES YES 3 720x480p 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 YES YES 4 1280x720p 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 YES YES 5 1920x1080i 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 YES YES 6 720(1440)x480i 59.94Hz/60Hz 4:3 YES YES 7 720(1440)x480i 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 YES YES 8 720(1440)x240p 59.94Hz/60Hz 4:3 YES YES 9 720(1440)x240p 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 YES YES 10 2880x480i 59.94Hz/60Hz 4:3 YES YES 11 2880x480i 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 YES YES 12 2880x240p 59.94Hz/60Hz 4:3 YES YES 13 2880x240p 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 YES YES 14 1440x480p 59.94Hz/60Hz 4:3 YES YES 15 1440x480p 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 YES YES 16 1920x1080p 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 NO YES 17 720x576p 50Hz 4:3 YES YES 18 720x576p 50Hz 16:9 YES YES 19 1280x720p 50Hz 16:9 YES YES 20 1920x1080i 50Hz 16:9 YES YES 21 720(1440)x576i 50Hz 4:3 YES YES 22 720(1440)x576i 50Hz 16:9 YES YES 23 720(1440)x288p 50Hz 4:3 YES YES 24 720(1440)x288p 50Hz 16:9 YES YES 25 2880x576i 50Hz 4:3 YES YES 26 2880x576i 50Hz 16:9 YES YES 27 2880x288p 50Hz 4:3 YES YES 28 2880x288p 50Hz 16:9 YES YES 29 1440x576p 50Hz 4:3 YES YES 30 1440x576p 50Hz 16:9 YES YES 31 1920x1080p 50Hz 16:9 NO YES 32 1920x1080p 23.97Hz/24Hz 16:9 YES YES 33 1920x1080p 25Hz 16:9 YES YES 34 1920x1080p 29.97Hz/30Hz 16:9 YES YES 35 2880x480p 59.94Hz/60Hz 4:3 NO YES 36 2880x480p 59.94Hz/60Hz 16:9 NO YES 37 2880x576p 50Hz 4:3 NO YES 38 2880x576p 50Hz 16:9 NO YES 39 1920x1080i (1250 total) 50Hz 16:9 YES YES WWW.COMNET.NET TECH SUPPORT: 1.888.678.9427 FVT/FVRHDMI HDMI single mode fiber optic link with HDCP / EDID specifications SUPPORTED VIDEO MODES (cont’d) Number of Fibers VIC Formats Field Rate Picture Aspect Ratio 1 2 40 1920x1080i 100Hz 16:9 NO YES 41 1280x720p 100Hz 16:9 NO YES 42 720x576p 100Hz 4:3 YES YES 43 720x576p 100Hz 16:9 YES YES 44 720(1440)x576i 100Hz 4:3 YES YES 45 720(1440)x576i 100Hz 16:9 YES YES 46 1920x1080i 119.88/120Hz 16:9 NO YES 47 1280x720p 119.88/120Hz 16:9 NO YES 48 720x480p 119.88/120Hz 4:3 YES YES 49 720x480p 119.88/120Hz 16:9 YES YES 50 720(1440)x480i 119.88/120Hz 4:3 YES YES 51 720(1440)x480i 119.88/120Hz 16:9 YES YES 52 720x576p 200Hz 4:3 NO YES 53 720x576p 200Hz 16:9 NO YES 54 720(1440)x576i 200Hz 4:3 NO YES 55 720(1440)x576i 200Hz 16:9 NO YES 56 720x480p 239.76/240Hz 4:3 NO YES 57 720x480p 239.76/240Hz 16:9 NO YES 58 720(1440)x480i 239.76/240Hz 4:3 NO YES 59 720(1440)x480i 239.76/240Hz 16:9 NO YES 60 1280x720p 23.97Hz/24Hz 16:9 YES YES 61 1280x720p 25Hz 16:9 YES YES 62 1280x720p 29.97Hz/30Hz 16:9 YES YES WWW.COMNET.NET TECH SUPPORT: 1.888.678.9427 FVT/FVRHDMI HDMI single mode fiber optic link with HDCP / EDID specifications VIDEO Input: Output: HARDWARE HDMI (w/ adapter) HDMI (w/ adapter) Size (L × W × H): Power: 7" × 5.75" × 1.75" 18 × 14.5 × 4.5 cm 8 –15 VDC @ 0.5A DATA Data Format: IrDa: RS232up to 115.2 k baud, max 38kHz LEDs - Link - Data -Error ENVIRONMENTAL MTBF: Operating Temp: Storage Temp: Relative Humidity: >100,000 hours 0˚ C to +50˚ C 0˚ C to +50˚ C 0% to 95% (non-condensing)† OPTICAL SFP*: 3.125Gbps, Single Mode, 10km, 1 or 2 Fibers (see pp 2–3) Fibers* Fiber Connectors SFP Dependent Requires selection of sold-separately SFP modules.
