Ideal where deep penetration is required without bringing subsoil to the surface. The coil allows the tine to move, assisting penetration and reducing horsepower needed. By working with the weather, an S Tine can be used from primary cultivation to creating a seed bed. BERENDS LINKAGE OFFSET This medium duty offset disc is designed for small to medium size tractors. They are fitted with 28mm (1 1/8”) square high tensile gang bolt axles and high quality triple sealed bearings. It is ideal for all types of terrain however it is most commonly used in market gardens, orchards and for firebreaks, where the operator wants the strength and weight of a large disc, but the versatility and compactness of a linkage model. Using solid cast iron disc spools instead of pipe spacers almost doubles the weight of the machine. More weight gives better penetration in hard ground. The front two gangs throw out to either side, whilst the rear two gangs throw the soil inwards. This set-up means that the operator doesn’t need to worry as much about angle set-up, as each gang counter-acts the opposing gang resulting in an even pull. It is ideal for all types of terrain but particularly suited to cropping and pasture renovation. It suits the operators who don’t have the horsepower, the acreage, or the money, to justify a larger and heavier trailing model. The principle of the X300 Flame Gun is that of a pressure stove or blow torch. Fuel is contained in an air tight tank and is forced into the burner via a control valve by air pressure supplied by the built in pump. The fuel (household kerosene) is preheated and vaporized for passing through a helically wound coil. With a core temperature of 1090°C it destroys top growth weeds, seeds and harmful bacteria thereby sterilising the soil and leaving a potash rich residue for future plantings. It is used for sterilising seed beds prior to planting, and for ground clearing under trees and fences, and is great for inter-row weeding. A separate trolley and hood is also available as an option. It can also be used around the home to kill weeds that pop up between pavers and concrete. Other uses for the Flame Gun are killing off lice and mites in chook sheds and also destroying rotting fruit on the ground to reduce fungal and potentially harmful spore germination. Frequently asked Questions: 1. How soon can I get my results? When using the flame gun for the first time, never attempt to consume all the weed in one burning. The two-stage method is recommended. Stage 1: A 1090°C controlled flame kills weeds. When directed at the base of weeds it stops sap rising, so the top growth dries out in a day or two. Stage 2: Dry weeds will ignite immediately when the flame comes into contact, clearing the ground of vegetations, seeds, pests etc. 2. Can I clear bush? For the clearance of bushes, tangled vines, hedges etc, it is recommended to cut the growth as near to the ground as possible. Allow it to stand and dry out for at least 24 hours. One burning will then consume the cut bush and kill the roots and seeds at the same time. 3. Can I start a bush fire? As the flame gun is operated at 1090°C the weeds that are in contact with the flame burn instantly and therefore there is nothing left to continue combusting.
