There are three models in the AX series of amplifiers, all offering you professional quality and high power in a compact 2-rack space package. As well as Hi Pass filters, stereo crossovers and twin cooling fans, their biggest asset is their sound. For three decades, Studiomaster has been building superb amplifiers. What has always set them apart from others is their exceptional sound quality. The AX continues this tradition… you can concentrate on the performance, with no need to worry about the amps! The AX amplifiers are perfect for stereo or bridged mono application and with the onboard two way crossover, will suit virtually any application. The crossover frequency can be set at either 100Hz or 150Hz. Each channel can be assigned to the high, or low, frequency signal. The output from each crossover is also available on ¼" jack sockets to connect more amplifiers.
For good reliability, amplifiers need to be kept cool. Most manufacturers make do with a single fan to reduce costs. The AX has twin continuously variable speed fans to provide maximum cooling, low noise operation and extended fan life. Fresh air is sucked in through the back of the amp and the warm air is blown out through the front - keeping your amp racks cool. The input connectors are balanced combination jack/XLR and to make it easy for you to link to additional amps, there's a male XLR as well. The amplifiers all have three modes of operation: stereo, paralleled input and bridged mono. Whatever mode you choose, you can use them with or without the crossover. Switchable 35Hz Hi Pass filters and clip limiters are available on each channel.
output of your amplifier. An LED lights if you've selected the bridged mono mode. Internally, the amplifiers are separate modules, comprising circuit PCB and heatsink, each with independent DC and thermal overload protection. The power supply features a massive high-current toroid transformer to ensure you get more power and keep hum and noise to a minimum. "what has always set Studiomaster amps apart is the exceptional sound, quality and reliability" The black, textured finished chassis features double thickness front rack ears, plenty of ventilation and rear rack fixing for greater security in transit. The 2mm aluminium trim panel makes it easy for you see the status LEDs and level controls.
Each channel has its own level control and three status LEDs for monitoring the
