WYFCP’s Riddell Equipment Program What is it? The Winfield and Riddell Equipment Program is a customized program for equipment trade-ins, purchase and management that will allow for discounted purchase of new Riddell equipment by both Winfield Football and Winfield Football Players This partnership was created from similar successful programs at organizations similar to Winfield. This program will allow Winfield to more affordably upgrade the equipment inventory and helps current and future generations of Cavalier Players to have easier access to the best equipment available.
Why establish this program?
Winfield’s goal with this program is to provide the safest and best equipment for our players to wear on the field PLACE PHOTO HERE,
Each year Winfield football budgets for equipment upgrades and reconditioning and we are constantly looking for the best way to provide the best equipment to our players within our budget There have been significant improvements in football equipment in recent years and Winfield wants to provide the best equipment and continue to promote safety across the program Many parents have purchased or have inquired about purchasing their own helmets and shoulder pads for their players. Winfield wants to provide more equipment options for purchase and make the process easier for parents Winfield wants to build up its inventory of new equipment as quickly and economically as possible Winfield will get discounted equipment costs when trading in old equipment to Riddell Winfield can save on the cost of equipment purchases to invest in other areas of the program There are fundraising options available to Winfield through the Riddell partnership that will be explored which may include an expanded Winfield website for both football and cheer.
Optional Helmet Purchase Plan
OTHERWISE DELETE BOX Parents will be given the option to purchase, through Winfield at a significant discount over retail pricing, upgraded Riddell helmets for their player(s). These helmets, which are on display at the Awards Banquet, will include: Riddell Speed Riddell 360- http://www.riddell360.com/ The purchased helmets, which are for Youth sports only, will be custom fitted for the player at a fitting session with Riddell representatives and Winfield coaches. How many seasons each player can wear them depend on the specific player, but many players can wear them for multiple years.
Since these are Youth helmets only, and cannot be used for High School Football, Winfield proposes that when players move on to high school or outgrow their helmets, that they be donated back to the program to help Winfield build up its inventory of new equipment for the next generation of Winfield Cavaliers. Helmets are good for 10 years. Additionally, if your player outgrows their Speed or 360 helmet and it gets donated to the program while they are still participating, Winfield will provide the player with the same Speed or 360 helmet from inventory for as long as they are in the program- if available Winfield will pay to recondition the helmets every 1 or 2 years while the player is in the program (a $25 dollar value for each occurrence). Helmets are required to be certified at least every 2 years to be allowed in play.
