XClyps Compressed, Fast-Access HD/SD Clip Server Features High-Performance HD/SD Graphics Server XClyps defines a new paradigm for graphics server technology and performance, with a revolutionary design that provides unprecedented quality and control over graphics playout. Virtually instantaneous clip recall and playout makes XClyps a perfect match for demanding live applications. XClyps can be configured with one or two completely independent, switchable HD/SD channels, each with perfectly synchronized audio, video and key outputs and a built-in keyer for compositing clips on program video. Advanced Wavelet compression technology and selectable compression ratios provides the perfect balance between high-capacity storage and flawless quality playout of channel branding, promos, snipes and bumpers. Video and audio can be automatically ingested through watch folders from a variety of sources including QuickTime® files with alpha and audio, still images, graphic file sequences, live video recording or rendered directly with an available Video for Windows® codec. Up to 40 hours of HD and 200 hours of SD online compressed video content can be stored on a system. Advanced Workflow Integration XClyps was designed with your workflow needs in mind. For large installations with multiple XClyps systems, file transfer, playout control and real-time output proxy monitoring are easily performed with the XClyps Asset Management and Monitor and Control options. From a single “master” XClyps system or a standalone PC, all XClyps playout channels can be controlled and monitored over your IP network. Files can be transferred among XClyps systems without disrupting XClyps playout. XClyps can be controlled manually through the GUI or ClypBoard shot box or remotely from a switcher, automation system or shot box via a variety of automation protocols . XClyps is an integral part of CAMIO, Chyron’s industry-leading MOS Newsroom automation system. Now fully transitional clip or still playout can be managed directly from the newsroom and free your graphics workstation resources. Show openers, transitional segments, even electronic backdrop content can be seamlessly integrated into the MOS newsroom workflow. Browse your XClyps groups from the newsroom computer system using LUCI, our Newsroom ActiveX®. Insert the groups into your running orders and play them out via iSQ, our intelligent multichannel sequencer. • Configurable as single- or dual-channel system • Each channel independently SD- and HD-switchable • MOS Newsroom enabled via CAMIO • Integrated watch folders for direct conversion of QuickTime files (with audio), still images and image Sequences. • Video and Key outputs on each channel • Full 3- and 4-point looping support • Audio mixing (embedded or discrete) • Video Input and integrated keyer on each channel • Redundant power supplies • RAID5 with hot-swappable media storage • Fully redundant system and data drive • Standard with GPI clip record and playout control • Full clip-to-clip transition support for variable length fades or wipes along with corresponding audio cross fades • Ingest video from Targa sequences, live video recording, QuickTime® files or rendered directly with an available Video for Windows codec • Real time, remotable output proxy views • Simultaneous playout and file transfer without performance degradation • Local and remote browse, media management and diagnostics • Drag-and-drop or keyboard shortcuts for speedy operation • Controllable via Pro-Bel, GPI, VDCP, PBus and Chyron Intelligent Interface®.
