Xerox WorkCentre 5765/5775/5790 User Instructions Make a Copy Using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) 1.
Place the originals face-up in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), typically in portrait orientation.

If necessary, press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel, and then select the [Copy] tab on the Touch Screen.

Program any required copy settings, and then press the [Start] button to begin copying.
Make a Copy Using the Document Glass 1. Place one original face-down on the Document Glass, typically in portrait orientation.

If necessary, press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel, and then select the [Fax] tab on the Touch Screen to display the Fax options. From the Address Book Setup screen, enter an Address Book number or select one from the Address Book list. Select the Edit Details button. Touch the Entry Name field and enter the Address Book name (maximum of 20 characters). Select the Save button to confirm entries. Touch the Fax Number field and enter the fax number (including any Dialing Characters) using the number keypad. Select the Save button to confirm entries. Select the Save button again to save your entry to the Address Book and return to the Setup screen.
How to send a fax NOTE: Faxes can be sent using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) or the Document Glass. Multiple-page documents must be faxed using the ADF. 1. For the ADF, remove any staples and paper clips from the original, and then load the original face-up into the Feeder, typically in the portrait orientation.
For the Document Glass, load the original face-down on the glass with the top of the page toward the left side of the glass, typically in the portrait orientation.
To send a fax to a single recipient: 1. If necessary, press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel, and then select the [Fax] tab on the Touch Screen to display the Fax options. 2. Using the alphanumeric keypad, enter the fax phone number, and then press the [Start] button to send the fax. To send a fax using the Address Book: 1. If necessary, press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel, and then select the [Fax] tab on the Touch Screen to display the Fax options. 2. Select the [Address Book] button. 3. Select the [Individuals] option from the pull-down menu. 4. Select the required speed dial from the list displayed, and then select the [Add to Recipients] option from the pop-up menu. 5. Repeat step 4 to enter additional individual fax. 6. When all the fax numbers have been entered, select the [Close] button. 7. Select any required features for your fax job. 8. Press the [Start] button on the Control Panel to scan the originals and process the fax job. Set up and Use the Fax Directory on a WorkCentre with Server Fax Enabled To set up the Fax Directory: 1. 2. 3. 4.
Press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel. Select the [Server Fax] button on the Touch Screen. Select the [Fax Directory] button on the Server Fax tab. Select an empty entry field. If necessary, scroll down the list to find an empty field.
5. Enter the fax number in the Enter Number and Press Add field using the numeric keypad. Use the [C] button to delete an incorrect entry, or to clear the entire entry select the [X] button. 6. Select [Save]. The new entry will be displayed in the list. 7. To use the entry for the current job, select the entry in the list and select [Add to Recipients] from the menu. The number will be added to the Recipient list. 8. To edit an entry, select it in the list, select the [Edit] button and edit the entry as required, and then select [Save]. 9. To exit from the Fax Directory, select the [Close] button. To use the Fax Directory: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
Press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel. Select the [Server Fax] button on the Touch Screen. Select the [Fax Directory] button on the Server Fax tab. Select the required number and select [Add to Recipients] from the menu. The number will be added to the Recipient list. Continue adding recipients as required. To edit an entry, select it in the list, select the [Edit] button, edit the entry as required, and then select [Save]. To clear an entry from the list, select the entry to be deleted, select [Clear Entry] from the menu, and then select [Clear Entry] on the confirmation screen. Select the [Close] button to return to the fax options. The fax will be sent to all the numbers in the Recipient list.
Modify the Fax Transmission (Confirmation) Report Option 1. Login as the System Administrator or Key Operator. (Username: admin Passcode: 1111 or 11111). 2. Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. The Machine Status screen will be displayed. 3. Select the [Tools] tab on the Touch Screen. 4. Select the [Service Settings] button. 5. Select the [Fax Settings] button. A list of options will be displayed. 6. Select the [Fax Reports] option. 7. Select the [Transmission Report] button. 8. Select one of the following options: 1. [Always Print] 2. [Print on Error] 3. [Disable] 9. Select the [Save] button. 10. Select the [Close] button. 11. Logout of the printer.
How to Scan to E-mail 1. Load the original(s) face-up in the Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF), or place a single original face-down on the Document Glass. 2. Press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel. 3. Select [Email] on the Touch Screen. 4. Add a new recipient’s email address 5. Press [Add] 6. Select any other required options from the Email, Advanced Settings, Layout Adjustment, Email Options or Job Assembly tabs. 7. Press the [Start] button on the Control Panel. How to scan to a folder 1.
If necessary, press the [Services Home] button on the Control Panel, and then select the [Workflow Scanning] tab on the Touch Screen.

Select the required template from the Templates Destinations section. This template will be used for scanning the original.

Select any required options from the Advanced Settings, layout Adjustment, Filing Options or Job Assembly tabs.

Press [Start] button on the control panel.
