Functionality Glasses Overview (1) Button (ON, OFF, Dual View Select, 3D Mode Select) (2) LED light
Turning On/Off Your Glasses »» Step 1: ON: Press button (1) once »» Step 2: LED light (2) will ramp from off to bright »» Step 3: OFF: Press button (1) once »» Step 4: LED light (2) will ramp from bright to off The glasses also automatically turn off if no valid 3D sync is detected for 5 minutes.
Set Your Glasses to Operate in 3D Mode Set your 3D device to 3D DLP-Link™ mode and turn on the glasses. When the glasses are in range of your 3D device, they will automatically start to operate in 3D mode.

Some 3D DLP-Link™ devices may show inverted 3D image when used with XPAND X103-EDUX3 glasses. XPAND X103-EDUX3 glasses support Normal 3D Mode and Inverted 3D Mode. To switch between Normal 3D and Inverted 3D operation, press and hold the button (1) for 3 seconds. When 3 seconds button hold is detected, LED light (2) indicates selected 3D Mode: Inverted 3D Mode: Five Quick Blinks Normal 3D Mode: One Long Blink Each time the XPAND X103-EDUX3 glasses are turned ON, they start in the same 3D mode as they were in when turned OFF (Normal 3D or Inverted 3D).
Set Your Glasses to Operate in Dual View Mode With the selection of Dual View Mode XPAND X103-EDUX3 glasses can be used for dual gaming. Dual View Mode can be used during normal 3D viewing as well to disable 3D viewing for people that face uncomfortable feeling when watching 3D. When 3D device is emitting dual view image, double click on the button (1) to enter Dual View Mode for player 1. Another double click will turn the glasses to Dual View Mode for player 2. The next double click will bring the glasses back to 3D viewing mode. When double click is detected, LED light (2) indicates the eyewear mode: Player 1: One Quick Blink Player 2: Two Quick Blinks 3D Mode: One Long Blink for Normal 3D or Five Quick Blinks for Inverted 3D © XPAND, All Rights Reserved.

Each time the XPAND X103-EDUX3 glasses are turned ON, they start in 3D Mode (Normal 3D or Inverted 3D). The Dual View Mode selection is not stored into the memory.
Battery Low Indication If LED light (2) and shutters flash at power on, battery level is low. Glasses will continue to operate normally until the battery is completely discharged.
Battery Replacement »» Step 1: Open battery compartment »» Step 2: Take out the battery »» Step 3: Insert new battery »» Step 4: Close the battery compartment
Troubleshooting The glasses don’t work: Make sure that the glasses are turned on. If problems persist try to turn the ambient lights off or shade the windows if intensive sunlight is present. Make sure that your 3D device is set to 3D DLP-Link™ mode. Get closer to the screen.

Range of the glasses strongly depends on the used 3D device and/ or projection screen. 3D image looks unnatural: Make sure that you have selected the correct 3D Mode. Try to change the 3D Mode from Normal 3D Mode to Inverted 3D Mode.

Viewers need to refer to the recommendations described below »» Stop watching moving images, if you have any symptoms of: headache, dizziness, nausea, malaise and any uncomfortable feelings that might be caused by the images. It is advisable to take a break for 5 to 15 minutes every hour, even if the symptoms are not experienced. »» Make the viewing conditions comfortable by: »» Adjusting the illumination, sound and air conditioning. »» Adjusting the height of the chair and desk to suit your physique. »» Adjusting the brightness, focus or any other parameters of your display terminal or operating devices. »» Guardians are encouraged to protect their children’s health by controlling viewing conditions. »» Avoid unnecessary fatigue caused by overwork or lack of sleep, before watching visual products. »» When watching stereoscopic images, do not incline your head relative to the horizontal direction of the images. »» Stop watching stereoscopic images if you notice double images.
