Quality Surveys One of the most common works mobile telcos need to perform, to survey their access network quality are drive tests. They usually use a lot of resources like cars, fuel, maintenance, dedicated testers and drivers to find and correct any radio coverage gaps, representing high accumulated costs. Xperience solution can increase higher precision probing with continuously up-to-date QoS measurements, and significantly reduce operational costs with quality surveys processes, because it does not use dedicated resources to the surveys' activities.
Why do you need the solution ? In order to measure and detect coverage gaps on your radio network, you need to plan quality surveys' tests. But rather than using all those resources that cost you a lot of expenses, you could manage to install probes in users' smartphones to make the tests for you everytime you want, at the cost of some benefit for them in terms of data tariff. Solution highlights The solution allows automatization of quality surveys through remote test planning to collect QoS from users' smartphones probes anytime as programmed on the X-Server. For that, you need to establish partnerships with logistic companies with fleet vehicules or field sales forces to extend probing on their smartphones for the tests. Partners' smartphones or tablets have to be equiped with Xperience specific App that do it for you. Partnerships may only mean a discount on their company's invoices or an additional amount of data (GBytes) to be spent
collectively. So you can save a lot of money with current drive tests processes with not dedicated resources to them. Technical Solution Our Xperience solution is based on a simple architecture with probes on Smartphones or 3G/LTE enabled Tablets running the programmed quality tests and collecting radio and network KPIs that are then uploaded to the X-server. Then different types of reporting can be compiled and extracted from the Xserver for further analysis and possible integration with other operator's backoffice systems. www.streambow.com
