XpressPrep Headend Drop Cable TM Another CommScope Innovation That Sets a New Standard in Cable Technology! Traditional headend cables require costly, time-consuming end preparation for proper connectorization. Critical to the amount of time required is the removal of the outer tape. CommScope’s new XpressPrepTM Headend Cable design simplifies this process by allowing the bonded outer tape to be removed as the jacket is stripped. This greatly reduces the time required for properly preparing the cable for connectorization and reduces installed cost. The normal process of preparing headend cable requires five steps: F59 HEC-2VV Standard Headend Cable Tape/Braid/Tape/Braid 1. Strip jacket 2. Fold back outer braid 3. Remove tape 4. Fold back inner braid 5.
