225 Series Digital Home Theater Speaker Systems High Sound Quality PMD Cone Woofer Makes These Speakers Ideal for Home Cinema Sound Home cinema speakers must combine high power capabilities with excellent sensitivity and dynamic range, while being designed to prevent listening fatigue. The new 225 Series speakers meet these requirements by using a PMD (Polymer-injected Mica Diaphragm) cone woofer. This diaphragm is composed of 30% high quality white Indian Pearl Mica, chosen for the significant contribution it makes to sound quality. In order to maximize its distinctive qualities, absolutely no coloring is added to the material. We’ve also varied the cone thickness, making it thinner on the outer edge, which has been shown to improve Polymer-Injected performance. Kapton bobbins help to increase Mica Microscope Photo S/N ratio. The cone is extremely light, yet also tough and durable, with excellent response speed. 3cm Aluminum-Magnesium Dome Tweeter with DC-Diaphragm™ The high-performance tweeter features a dome made of an aluminum–magnesium alloy, with a DC-Diaphragm (integrated diaphragm and voice coil). The tweeter is extremely light to minimize loss yet is highly durable. It is capable of reproduction all the way up to 50kHz, which is rare for a 3cm dome tweeter. Highs are crisp and clear even at high power levels.
Luxurious Wood Finish Cabinet The precision-constructed cabinet has a surface of high quality wood, and is finished with a luxurious polyurethane open pore coating. Its shape is designed to reduce diffraction and standing waves, and it takes advantage of the beautiful reverberation of natural wood. The finish is available in birch, cherry, silver and black (availability varies with region). Twin Bass Reflex Ports (NS-225F) The NS-225F bass reflex speaker uses two ports rather than the usual one. They are precisely tuned to achieve best low frequency response and higher attack speed.
Easy to Use Slim Design These speakers have a slim, elegant design that will perfectly match thin-line home theater components and plasma monitors or flat-screen TVs. Heavy-Duty, Round-Shaped Steel Bass Anchor (NS-225F) The Bass Anchor uses heavy-duty roundshaped steel plate to provide stable support and also dampen vibrations that can adversely affect sound quality. Gold-Plated Brass-Extruded Terminals Even the terminals of these speakers are high quality, being made of brass and gold-plated for higher signal conductivity.
