Most Zebra card printers print directly to plastic cards using dye sublimation and/or thermal transfer technology. These printing methods offer edge-to-edge, high-quality card printing for a wide variety of uses. Select from models that are ideal for high- or lower-volume printing, with multiple security and encoding options to meet your specific needs. Retransfer Printing Retransfer printers print onto a flexible, transparent film, and the image is then thermally bonded to the card. This print method is ideal for over-the-edge printing on uneven card surfaces, such as smart cards, or for when the application calls for very high image quality or cards that are more durable and abrasion resistant.

Zebra offers software that makes it easy to create and print cards. Our advanced network printer and print job management tools simplify integrating card printing and distributed printer deployments.

For more information, visit www.zebra.com/cardstudio Zebra Virtual PrintWare™ is designed to make it easy to issue cards from your own applications. The template-based printing capability allows for quick third-party application integration of card-printing and card-production flow. With Virtual PrintWare, you can print to one or more networked card printers, and remotely monitor printer health and status. To increase print capacity and throughput, you can also use the software to pool and manage multiple printers as if they were a single unit.
