Dual Video Operation Table of Contents Overview of Dual Video Streaming .............................................................................5-1 Managing a Presentation............................................................................................5-2 Displaying Presentations ...........................................................................................5-4
5.1 Overview of Dual Video Streaming Dual video streaming means transmitting primary and secondary video simultaneously. Dual video streaming shares the bandwidth resource. Dual video streaming could be the combination of any two items, including the camera image, the image of the computer desktop, and the video from a DVD or recorder. In general, the first video streaming, or primary video, which occupies most of the bandwidth is used to transmit camera image at the main site. The secondary video streaming is used to transmit the image of the desktop, such as slides for training and learning or files of other formats. Normally, this video streaming is called presentations or secondary video. Each of the presentation and the primary video occupy half of the bandwidth by default. The H.239 protocol is an international standard formulated by ITU-T. The H.239 protocol can realize the interoperability between products made by different manufacturers in terms of presentation. For a description of the presentation functions, refer to Table 5-1. Table 5-1 Descriptions for Presentation Functions Function
